Yahoo is reporting Vinnie Del Negro is out as coach.
Not a surprise there. Curious to see who replaces him though. Think CP3 might have a say in that?

They most likely will bring in someone with head coaching experience but I’d like to see them take a look at Brian Shaw.

If they’re thinking win now I don’t see how they don’t look into Jerry Sloan. His system clearly fits their core pieces assuming they retain CP.

Assuming he doesn’t get picked up by the Pistons, I think they should take a strong look at Mike Budenholzer. Anyone who’s spent that much time with Gregg Popovich has to have plenty of knowledge about coaching and the game.
Other than him, I really want Brian Shaw to get a HC spot somewhere.

I like Sloan if they can keep CP3.
I would like to see Sam Cassell get a job but IDK if he is even an option.
I would also love to see Jason Kidd get, at least, an assistant job somewere too.. Time to hang it up.
PJ Carlisamo did average with the Nets..
Jeff Van Gundy needs to get back into coaching just so I dont have to hear him talk so much..

Jerry Sloan would make a lot of sense as he had such success at Utah with Stockton and the Mailman and the Clippers key players play the same positions. The only thing that springs to mind is Utah took D-Will ahead of CP3 in 2005 so was Coach Sloan not keen on CP3 back then or could that make CP3 not keen on Sloan. Or perhaps more realistically if Clippers want CP3 to commit long term for 5 years would they hire a coach who would be 76 when that contract ends.
