knicksfan7ParticipantIt has been a while since I have last posted, but I am going to talk about the good, the bad, and the sleepers. I am only going to give reasons if asked, too lazy to type up a description.
The good (Championship contenders)
Ohio State
Duke
UNC
Kansas
Pittsburgh
The Bad
BYU
UConn (I know they are playing in the Big East championship, but 5 games in as many daysw/Kemba as their only true source they could easily be beat if game planned right)
Purdue
Wisconsin
Sleepers
Old Dominion
George Mason
Butler
Washington
This year’s tournament is going to have a lot of upsets where I can see a team like a Butler or Old Dominion, even a Michigan State in the sweet 16.

YSUFan10ParticipantOLD DOMINION BABY! and i think my Cincy Bearcats could make it out of the first 1 or two rounds.

omphalosParticipantUNC could make a real deep run with Barnes playing with this much swagger, he has freakin’ icewater running through his veins. It’s just hard to see him losing a close game nowadays.

bigblackNbeautifulParticipantThat with the right seedings there are going to be alot of upsets.. the badgers dont shoot well away from the kohl center they are gna get a 3 or 4 seed… flordia is very incositant there in the same boat. I feel the mid majors like george mason old dimionion belmount(my personal sleeper) oakland xavier butler ect are better than some of the high major teams this year and could lead to a lot of excitment.
PS i hope duke runs across old dominion in the second round cause old dominon is dukes worst nightmare with that defense they play and those huge bodys down there grabbing a load of off rebs

knicksfan7ParticipantAfter watching the Big East Championship game congrats to UConn and Louisville for playing an awesome game. Though, while UConn has other pieces besides Kemba a team that plays strong team defense will beat UConn 9 times out of 10. In order for UConn to win Kemba needs to shoot efficiently and Olander and Oraki need to keep opponents off the boards to allow Kemba to be in the open court.
Seeing Duke rebound right with UNC (the #1 rebounding team in the country) strengths my belief that Duke is set to repeat as national champions this team has a solid front court, great guard play, and plays great defense, and has the best coach in college basketball.

BKKnicksfanParticipantI think my Final Four might be: Texas, Duke, Ohio State and North Carolina.
My sleepers are: Missouri, Wisconsin, Louisville and Florida
My overrated teams are: Syracuse, BYU, Kansas and Purdue

knicksfan7ParticipantTexas plays too selfishly for me to take seriously. They have just as much if not more talent than most every team in the country, but Kansas handled them with ease. I would switch those two.
BYU is obvious since the loss of Davies.
Missouri struggles away from home, so I am not sure how deep they can go. Florida is definitely a team that can go deep and knock off a 1 and 2 seed in the tournament. Louisville has great depth, and when Siva and Knowles are on they are dangerous. Wisconsin always struggles in the tournament, won’t be surprised to see them as a round 2 exit.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantWisconsin and Pitt never go as far as people expect b/c they just aren’t athletic enough.
So beware cause you’re in for a scare.
If UDub is a 7 and they get San Diego State in their bracket as a 2, then Washington will return to the Savory Sixteen.
I hope Kentucky stays on the 3 line.
Oakland, best sleeper out there. No doubt.
Xavier always lives in the Savory Sixteen too.

llperezbring on the brackets already, want to see who ucla gets to beat first. Seriously though im not very confident in ucla, their offense dissapears for stretches every single game. If they play a team with a weak front court they can dominate the paint though.
My espn insider will finally get some value usage this week.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantWhat the hell happened with Coach Howland?
3 straight Final Fours then 3 straight years of mediocrity.
One of the most confounding things in sports.
Did he get complacent?

llperezguys left early, there were some transferrs. Since their first final 4 trip in 06, jordan farmar, arran afflalo, luc richard mbah a moute, russell westbrook, kevin love, jrue holiday have all left early. Drew gordon was also a key player who transferred to new mexico. That doesnt include graduating guys. They have zero seniors on the team right now so things are going in the right direction althoguh i thought they would be a little better this season. But still 2 of those 3 mediocre years included getting in the tournament so im not losing faith in howland.

kaceyParticipantOhio State as the overall #1 seed. Nothing surprising there.
How does everyone feel about Kenny and Charles doing some college basketball? Barkley called out Billy Packard (called him a jackass on TNT).

OhCanada-ParticipantI personally love Smith and Barkley doing college ball, they also seem more relaxed and seem to be talking more basketball then making jokes and stuff.
