valentineWhat’s your favourite team up to at the moment? I know there’s Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina fans in here.
Plenty are playing pre season matches. Plenty recruiting 2017 players. Coaches can be heard hypping up their recruits.
LSU Playing in front of 20,000 this week….in a preseason game! You think the hype train hasn’t hit full speed there?

jcotingParticipantFred VanVleet and Ron Baker backcourt will be deadly, expecting big things from both of their last years at Wichita State.

Anton123ParticipantI think Maryland, Duke, North Carolina and Kentucky look like the current top 4 teams.
Maryland has some crazy blend of talent and experience:
PG Melo Trimble 6’3” 190 So.
SG Rasheed Sulaimon 6’5” 195 Sr.
SF Jake Layman 6’9” 220 Sr.
PF Robert Carter 6’9” 240 Jr.
C Diamond Stone 6’11” 250 Fr.
Bench: Damonte Dodd 6’11” 250, Jared Nickens 6’7” 205,Dion Wiley 6’4” 210, Michal Cekovsky 7’1” 250
Is there a team with better size than Maryland next year?

ChicagoCaseyParticipantI have Maryland. I believe Maryland has the best roster in the country and the most balanced roster in the country. They have a post presence in Diamond Stone, shooters in Dion Wiley, Jared Nickens, and Jake Layman, and they have scorers in Melo Trimble and Rasheed Sulaimon.
Another team that I like is Georgetown. I believe Georgetown is underrated this year. I have a felling that both Isaac Copeland and Paul White will breakout this year and NBA scouts will take notice on both players. Isaac Copeland will be considered as a top 10 pick this year after he breaks out. They return of D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera and L.J Peak will also be big for them. I believe by the end of the year they will be a top 10 team and a top 4 seed in the NCAA tournament,
And another team that I believe that will have a big year is Gonzaga. They return their big 3 in bigs in Kyle Wiltjer, Damontas Sabonis, and Przemek Karnowski, Also, I expect Josh Perkins to be a great player for them after being out most of last year (was the 53rd ranked player in the 2014 class)

mgreener_34ParticipantUConn Huskies! Well, the other day I saw Pervis and Brimah at a burger joint. Both were stoned out of their minds and were handing out their number to all the pretty girls who walked by them. So to answer your question of what my team is doing, I would say living the ******* dream!
I also think UConn is a top 15 team this year. They have talent, continuity, size, athleticism, shooting, and fantastic coaching. I think 25 wins sounds about right for them, and expect big things from Pervis and Hamilton. Both of those guys stepped up big at the end of last year, and both are jockying for the NBA.

SubZeroParticipantI’m a huge Kentucky fan, but I wouldn’t say we’re the favorites. Maryland and Duke are the top 2 to me, with us and UNC coming in a little bit behind. I think Gonzaga will make some noise, and Cal and LSU have definite potential

llperezcal bears
they return tyrone wallace. He averaged 17 points…7reb…4ast last season. He is the best returning player in the pac 12 conference and should be a strong candidate to win pac 12 player of the year.
Jordan Mathews also comes back. He is a sharpshooter who takes a lot of threes. he averaged 14ppg last season and hit 44% of threes.
Jabari Bird is another returning player. he averaged 11pts…3reb…2apg last season and has not lived up to his abilities so far. The guy has a really smooth game from the wing and has been on NBA draft radars since his freshman season. Its time he takes that next step.
thats the best perimter group in the conference and is good enough to make the ncaa tournament just based on returning talent. but now you add the confernces top 2 freshman in Ivan Rabb and jaylen Brown to play in the frontcourt. Both those guys have one and done potential. This team should be top 5 in america.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI agree they have top 5 talent and should be exciting to watch. I’d like to see how that roster gels though before I’d get too carried away. There are alot of ball dominant players on that team, especially on the wings.

providencefriars1ParticipantIllinois St lost their rim protector, Reggie Lynch, who transferred to Minnesota. I thought they were NCAA with him now they are more NIT. I really like Valpo as a top 25 team. They have high-major level size and a great frontcourt duo of Alec Peters and Vashil Fernandez.

TarHeelRavenParticipantUNC fan obviously. I don’t care if Maryland is pre-season number one over us. I think it’s well-deserved. Mark Turgeon has gone from hot seat to having a team that can go all the way this year. They are absolutely stacked. Trimble is an all-American if he improves from his great freshman campaign. Diamond Stone is a beast in the low post. Jake Layman is a senior leader and three point shooter. Sulaimon is a great addition also. Of course I hate Duke and hated Sulaimon in Durham, but I think it says a lot when you’re the first player Coach K has kicked off the team during his tenure at Duke. There is something just mentally wrong with Sulaimon in my opinion. Turgeon has given this guy a second chance and I’m wondering if his past transgressions at Duke will come back to bite him in College Park. Game of the year in my opinion obviously is December 1 in Chapel Hill. Maryland at Carolina and could be a 1 versus 2 match-up. Absolutely cannot wait for the beginning of college basketball season.

I feel as if we got a top 10-15 team right now. Yogi will be in his senior season, Blackmon in his sophomore after a strong freshman year. Troy Williams a double-double nightmare, and we Thomas Bryant coming in and Juwuan Morgan. We have solid backups in Holt, Zeisloft, Hartman, and Robert Johnson. The only player we lost was Perera.
