Not a chance he is an all-star, but he does have third-option potential or an integral starter on a contender ala kenneth faried

Does Anthony Bennett have all star potential? How good can he be? Can he be a 20/10 guy? Everyone talks about his nba body and athleticism but he doesn’t really use it to his advantage either offensively and especially defensively as some might think. I’m sure no one expects him to be as good as Blake griffin Kevin love or Anthony Davis but at his best what can he be?

Ok I’ll call you crazy,I honestly don’t like Bennett as a draft prospect, I don’t see any real skills,to me Bennett was just stronger then anyone and will be the only thing that will translate to the NBA but he won’t be able to use it because he is too short for the power forward

But in today’s NBA, Charles Barkley wouldn’t be as effective as a player because his major advantage of being faster and more athletic than most power forwards plus decent ball handling is lessened with guys like LeBron, Kevin Durant, Paul Millsap, Josh Smith eating big minutes at the 4 spot.

Charles wouldn’t have averaged what he averaged in today’s environment.

If Bennet can even sniff what Charles did on the court, he’s worthy of a top 7 pick this year.

Barkley woulda eaten up these perimeter/ soft powerforwards in today’s game. Hell he was eating up centers better than dwight howard, like ewing, d. robinson, hakeem, shaq, mourning. bigmen in the nba stink now, none wanna go in and bully people, u got them all wanting to shoot 3’s and play soft, or they have no post moves and just wanna dunk. if a fucking 40 yr old tim duncan and kg can still be all stars freaking young charles woulda been mvp!

If Reggie Evans can average 11.1 rpg in just under 25 mpg at age 32 with 0 vertical leap, there is absolutely no reason to think Sir Charles couldn’t have produced the same or even higher numbers playing today as a below the rim player. If you’re willing to throw your weight around and box out you’ll be able to rebound in the NBA, a lot of the most athletic guys in the league have awful rebounding fundamentals, and a strong guy who knows what he’s doing is going to get the upper hand on the glass 8 out or 10 times.

Chuck was alse extremely skilled offensively, and was at least on Millsap’s level as an athlete when he was young, but significantly stronger.

I see him at best being a 15/8 starting power forward in the league

I think the talent is there, but as an undersized guy, he needs more of a motor. He had that tendency to float through the game at times. I really like his court savvy and feel for the game. His open court skills are really impressive. He was great at making a pass that set him up to finish later. The fact that he already has shooting range helps his cause. He’s more than just a post guy. I like to think of him as a more athletic/rich man’s Jered Dudley. If he had more of a relentless mentality i’d be even higher on him.

He’s rebounding alone will make him a decent PF. With his freakish athletecism, high motor, and versatile offensive skill-set, I see him as a 18PPG 10RPG type of player. Possibly making a couple of all star appearance.

My thing with Bennett and his transition to the league, at least on offence is his role in the pick and roll. The NBA relies on this heavily, especially if you are and athletic big man.

Bennet is huge, he’s going to be great at freeing up his ball handler and then using his athleticism to attack the rim. The thing that makes him more of a prospect for me compared to some undersized/athletic but very serviceable bigs — Jason Maxiell for example — is his jump shooting. He had a legit jumpshot when he’s allowed to get his feet set.

He will be a threat in both the pick and roll, and the pick and pop. This will free up lots of room for his other teammates, as well as allow him to be at least a 15 and 8 player for the good 6 years or so of his prime. In this draft in the 3-7 range I’m going for that every time unless I need a point and burke is there.

    I’m with mess.ee

ANthony looks better athlete and much more versitile than Millsap at the same stage, don’t know why he can’t be18ppg as a handling shooting face-up PF with some real athleticism.. he won’t fail..

He could be a border line allstar in a few vet years, not for at least 3 -4 years. If he is selectected by a Detroit or pheonix team.

I’m not very high on him, to be honest. He’s got a great build, but I suspect he’s in the 6’6”-6’7” range. I’m not one of those guys who thinks because a guy is undersized he can’t be successful, but Bennett is a 4 at the next level. I’m just not buying he’s a 3, and I think he’ll go through a rough couple years finding that out. Because he has some perimter skills and ability to knock down a jumper, I see a version of Brandon Bass. Not a guy I’d take top 5 or 6, but a guy I’d look at near the end of the lotto. He’ll go higher, but I think he has one of the highest chances to be considered a bust if a team reaches too highly for him.
