Who makes the all-star game first? Will they still be on the same team when it happens? If not who is gone?

If that team doesn’t start winning, neither of them will make it to an All-Star game.

I think Ellis is going to be the first one to make it to an All-Star team and I do not believe they’ll be on the same team.  I think they drafted Klay Thompson for a reason and they intend on using him in the near future.  They may trade away Ellis for a center and start Thompson when they believe he’s ready.

i think monta will make an all star game first but stephon curry is probably going be with golden state for the long haul. i would keep monta if it was up to me because i feel he has more star power and is less prone to injuries. nba politics will have the final say in this one(dell curry wins lol). both are solid pros though, good questions.

Monta should make it next year I would think and IMO he was slightly snubbed the last 2 years..  I see curry making it in 2-3 years if he continues his progress.  I think they’ll stay on the same team for a while, honestly I think they fit together pretty well actually, it makes them have one of the best backcourts and best passing teams.  With david lee I see them as a team that could make some noise with good play from the 3 and the 5 positions.

…Monta is not traded and the team is winning next year it will be Monta barring injury (Right? they gotta give it to him eventually…) That said he could get traded for a kings ransom this offseason in which case it would depend on which new team wins most. I think that team w/ a better record would be curry’s in that case (doesn’t seem smart to trade for stars anymore since the carmelo deal…[memo to haters: I am not equating monta with carmelo, just that GS will demand a lot in return]). If they are still losing next year, I think it will be Curry in the following year..

I agree Monta has been snubbed before but if Curry’s ankles hold up I think he will make it first. He is an exceptional talent that just keeps improving. If Monta is traded i can see them both making it next year. Curry has the talent to be a perrenial all star and if only one of them make it i would bet on Curry I just think Curry is the more well rounded player and only getting better especially with his playmaking. Monta is a great scorer but there is no other area he excels at.

I think pretty much every coach in the league would want Curry on their team. He is much more highly regarded than Monta. So if he can stay healthy and if the team starts to win, Curry has a chance of being brought on by the coaches as a reserve.

Golden State has been trying to trade Monta for years now but no one will give them any value for him.

I agree that if Curry ankles holds up he may be the next all star and possibly will replace Steve Nash.

I also believe that with the way Klay Thompson is playing that Monta may be on his way out.

What team do you think will make a play on Monta.  Minny and Charlotte could use him but they dont have much that GSW would want back.  GSW needs a Center or possibly a more reliable small forward.

If Dwight really wanted to win he would take strong consideration to go to GSW for Monta Ellis, Andris Beidrin, and some draft picks.  Hedo may have to be included for money purposes.

Monta is better than Curry at just about everything aside of pure 3 point shooting. Monta will dash for a contender faster than Curry would. Monta will be an all-star first.

Very few GMs would trade a good starter for Monta, and certainly there is no chance the Dwight Howard would be traded for a collection of players including Monta Ellis. That is why GS continues to be stuck with this guy when they really want to turn the team over to Curry. If they could get a starting center in a trade for Ellis, they would do it in a heartbeat.

Incidentally, for the third consecutive year, the GSWs are playing significantly better when Monta sits than when he plays. The goal  of the game is for your team to outscore the other team. Monta thinks the goal of the game is for him to have a high point per game average.

Stephen Curry is better then Monta Ellis. In the West, it’s gonna be tough for either to make it, but if one does, Curry is the guy.
