storm33ParticipantYo, I’m a big University of Michigan basketball fan. I’m just curious what everyone thinks about Manny Harris and Deshawn Sims’ NBA prospects.

BlackMamba24ParticipantManny needs to stay 4 years to maximize his potential…..Sims is an interesting guy because of all the things he can do. If he doesn’t rely so much on the 3-pointer and develop better in the post he has a shot to help some clubs

tjc23ParticipantI am a big michigan fan also i think if manny goes pro next year he will be a top 5 pick he has improved after his first year and i think he will improve even more and go to a top 5 pick sims could be a top 20 pick if he steps up and scores and rebounds more he needs to average 8 to 10 rebounds

BlackMamba24ParticipantI dont think Manny would go to 5, that is a bit of a stretch

juves4783Participantmanny harris is a baller. i think he should’ve tried to get in the draft this year. he should be a first round pick regardless. if he can develop his ball handling skills a little more, he could move up the board as a combo guard.
i don’t think sims will get drafted in the 1st round. he’s an undersized pf and i don’t think is polished enough to play the sf in the nba.

BlackMamba24ParticipantHarris isn’t a first rounder right now. He struggles against bigger, more physical guards. He has terrible shot selection and turns the ball over too much to contribute right now

storm33ParticipantYeah, as much as I love Harris and Sims,
a) I don’t think Harris is a top 5 pick. A first rounder? yes, in my opinion. He could be a top 5 pick but that would take a LOT of improvement.
b) I think Sims could grow to be a first round pick but I think he’ll be a late second rounder next year.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/18/2009 - 5:50pm #167956
bobbygillerI agree that Harris should stay all four years and if he continues to progress and develop I definitely think he could have a shot at the lottery. I see him as a James Harden lite type of player, they’re both the same height and have a similar style but Harden has much more bulk than Harris. There is no doubt the kid has talent and once he learns to take better shots I feel he will have a good chance to be a lottery pick in 2 years
