417basketballfanParticipantDenver gets Chandler Parsons and 4th pick
Memphis gets Paul milsap and 13th pick
Denver gets a potential star that will fit the timeline of jokic Murray and Harris.
Memphis gets a star now who fits the win now mentality of the grizzlies. He also fits into the gritty culture of the team. They also finely get rid of Parsons contract

Scrooge McDuckParticipantI like the trade for Denver. I see it as desperate by the Grizzlies. I still think Randolph is a better player than Millsap and they let him go. Vince Carter didn’t have a bad year either. What the Memphis front office has done is a terrible miscalculation. I have no idea what direction their going.

high floorParticipantDo Memphis fans agree though? It all depends on the Grizzlies front office expectations and perceived competetive window of Gasol and Conley. Their ownership recently stated that they expect to be a 50+ win team next year. Not sure this strategy is wise, given Mike and Mark’s injury history.
#4 could potentially be a very good player….. but Millsap matches the Gasol and Conley (win-now) timetable, plus they get rid of a bad Chandler Parsons contract. At 13, they could still draft a solid player and add wing depth like Zhaire Smith, Miles Bridges or Lonnie Walker. I think this deal could potentially benefit both parties

SmooveKRYPTParticipantI like it. You’d have to add Darrell Arthur’s contract to make it work salary wise. Denver will probably have some pause because they’re gonna be so close to the luxury tax with the Jokic extension, but the ability to add a Jaren Jackson to their young core would be really enticing.

Game760ParticipantBelongs to the clippers
And yes the clippers should trade for the pick and draft JJJ/Doncic/Bamba and take Shai/Sexton/Trae top pg left at 12

HitsterParticipantI don’t know what planet the owners are on if they think they can win 50 games unless they are going to try and somehow sign LBJ!
Being serious when Conley was injured it did cost them but in the last couple of years they weren’t much above 0.500 and Marc Gasol will be another year older next year too, so I don’t see where 50 wins will come from.
Surely their best option is to cash in on Marc Gasol, get a young star in at 4th and maybe stretch Parsons’ deal.

OhCanada-ParticipantTough to rebuild in the West too though. Teams get stuck in the lottery for a long long time and the Grizzlies have been there before.

The GoatParticipantThey gap between teams isnt as big as it seems.. I think with a fit Conley, Gasol, Evans, a high lotto pick and their role players they can make 50. They need to be well coached, but they can get there and cause playoff trouble. Really though, they missed their window.. If they beat GS that playoff series a few years ago in the Warriors first run, im sure they wouldve won the whole thing.
