valentineHe scored pretty much at will on Durant with a variety of moves. I’m surprised i haven’t seen alot of post about durant this season considering there was one every other day lasy season from MVP talk to the Thunder being the number two seed int he west this year. ESPN also showed that head to head Melo pretty much beats Durant and the Thunder 9 times out of 10.

IndianaBasketballParticipantYea… Melo put a hurtin’ on Durant. Melo was bullying him.
I don’t think Durant is a better player than Melo yet, though I’d still take Durant over him if I had to choose.

LAKE SHOWWould you take Druant over him because durant is younger? I can’t fault Durant too much because Melo pretty much does that to anyone. He’s unguardable

SwatLakeCityParticipantI’d take Durant over Melo for many reasons. 1. He’s younger. 2. Love his attitude, his humility. That’s the kind of star that I want on my team. 3. He’s a better shooter than Melo. 4. He involves his team more and doesn’t assume the superstar role. This leads back to number 2. I’m not saying he concedes or defers himself to the team but he lets the rest of the team get involved. Instead of him scoring all the points. He lets his teammates do some scoring as well. He takes control when that is his role and does not do so when it is not. (For awhile he didn’t even want to score most of the points on Team USA this year until Coach K. told him he is the scorer and leader of this team. He thought he was being a "ball-hog" and no one likes a "ball-hog". And he needed to assume that role.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI think Durant is too humble at times. He lays back.. this is a reason why I don’t trust him much as a player. He fades back too much if he thinks he’s taking too many shots.. I don’t want my superstar player to have a hesitant mindset when it comes to taking over games. This is why I’d take Melo.. If Melo is shooting 1-10, he’s still going to take that final shot, whereas I believe Durant would not. Then again, Durant is still young so it’ll take a while for him to get used to the game and know when and how to take over… Hopefully.
