With Mayo going on the block at the last minute does that mean his days are numbered as a Grizzlie?
With Mayo knowing he was about to be dealt at the last minute will he play well throughout the season or play very laxidasical?
Will Mayo be gone by the start of the 2011 season?
What do you think Mayo’s reaction will be towards the media with the trade not going through?

iceman21ParticipantI think he will be dealt this summer and I hope he will act professional about it and play through the season so teams see that and have more interest in him.

Lotto StudParticipant"Why wouldn’t he not act professional?"
Memphis management was assuring all season he was not going anywhere, because they quote on quote "loved him there & thought he would be a key piece"

SwatLakeCityParticipantI think Mayo will be traded by the draft to the Pacers or Bulls, unless another team comes calling before draft and their offer is stronger. Jazz and Cavs could also be calling. So this should get very interesting near the draft.

Lotto StudParticipantI wouldn’t mind him in Indy as long as he plays, but I wanted to see him with a big franchise market…..Houston/Chicago

sheltwon3ParticipantIndiana should have done this deal. They have not really gotten the players that came in ready from the draft. Mayo would have feel in perfectly. They would have still needed a 4 man but Hanbrough has played well enough to have that role

The lake show2I’m pretty sure Mayo knows that just because a team says that doesn’t mean the player won’t be traded. The average fan knows that so i’m pretty sure he knew as well

BasketballGuru24ParticipantTrading him for josh mcroberts must mean something. Dudes gone but this dude is one of my favorite players and i don’t think indiana would have been a good fit for him it would have been identical to what they had in memphis

iguapops420Participant^^^Slightly agree, except that I think he would have much better scoring opportunities playing beside of a pass first pg which contarary to popular belief Conley JR. is not. Not to mention Collisons abilities to play off ball deferring to Mayo who likes the ball in his hands more often than not would be a simple task. Josh McRoberts though? This guy is versatile, but nowhere near the trade partner of an OJ Mayo. If Memphis was going to unload him for that cheap, They should have just taken the Shannon Brown,Derrick Caracter,Devin Ebanks offer. At least then they could have gotten a 1st and even GS and NY’s early 2nd round picks this year. Oh well, maybe this just lights a fire under OJ and gets him to start playing with more purpose and aggression instead of blending in the team so well.
