XYRYXParticipantI really believe Cuban is on his way to overhaul the roster completely and will take every chance available to bring his team back to the top of the West. Since CP3 will most likely stay in LA and Howard also unlikely to join the Mavs, what do you guys think might happen tomorrow or more interestingly what options have they really to start over since it is already known they are most likely shopping their pick to create cap space or to collect more assets for possible trades.
Personally I still have no clue what they really have in mind. Jefferson might be an option as well as Josh Smith who will ask both for a lot of money and I’m not sure if it’s smart to go with this two guys. Even Bosh might be an option if the Heat want to unload his massive contract what isn’t very likely but after seen him this year and especially in the finals they should at least explore the options.
The Mavs really lacked talented first or second rounders since they often traded their picks what is smart in some way if you’re a contender and have more need for vet than having unproven players on the bench but Finley, Nash, Dirk or even Josh Howard and Marquis Daniels have all been drafted by the Mavs and at some point you need to add young blood the the team to refresh the identity. To me this time is now and they simply just can’t hope to sign all their needs right away as free agents. I hope that they somehow keep their first rounder or at least receive one talent in a possible draft night trade.
What should the Mavs do come draft day with their picks at 13 and 44?

festar35ParticipantI still feel Monta Ellis finds his way to Dallas. As for their draft pick, I think they should look at a C with 13th pick and just try find a talent in 2nd round.

XYRYXParticipantI always wanted to see Monta playing for a contender but adding him should mean losing Mayo and he is the only true All Star talent caliber player aside from Dirk on the roster. Might still be possible they do a sign and trade let’s say swapping Monta and O.J. but I don’t know if this is really a smart move. Dallas really has needs at all spots and I have a feeling Darren Collison is the first player involved in any kind if deals, he seems to be the easiest one to replace somehow and still has okay value in trade scenarios. The Jazz might be interested in him. What about #13 and Collison for Millsapp?

thunderjerkParticipantDid you just say that Mayo is all-star level talent?

XYRYXParticipantAt least the only All Star level player not named Dirk. Mayo really started strong into last season but crushed pretty hard. They don’t have. Lot of assets aside him to make a sign and trade happen.

Malik-UniversalParticipantthis is kinda random.. but im watching the draft HQ on nba tv and they had a graphic about mclemore saying one of his strengths was “creating his own shot”…. I nearly flipped…. if he had the consistent ability to create his shot.. he would go number one without a doubt
