Major news coming out of Europe this morning, it was announced on twitter that the potential 2019 top-10 pick out of Croatia Luka Šamanić (Sha-man-itch) is leaving Barcelona and is presumably looking to make the jump to college waters.

He’s a 6-10 smooth, athletic forward with some shooting/ball-handling/shot-blocking chops. He was named the u-18 Euroleague MVP earlier this season with averages of 23p/15r/3a/3b, dominating both sides of the ball and leading his team to the Finals, which they lost 77-74 to Joventut.

He’s a son of former Croatian basketball player Marko Šamanić and is hailed as the ‘mix of Toni Kukoč and Kristaps Porzingis’ in his home country. He’s also already on the Croatian national team extended roster.

Of course, he’s only 18 and is a long way from a finished product, having yet to play in a pro game if I’m not mistaken.

Which team do you want to see him on?

Duke & Gonzaga seem to be the front runners.

Not sure how he fits with the incoming class for Duke. He won’t start at Duke. Is he OK with coming off the bench?
