LeBron James won his second NBA title with a Game 7 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night. Yet the back-to-back championships did little to silence James’ most ardent critics, who point out that the vast majority of NBA titles in history have not been won by the self-proclaimed “King” James.
Since the NBA Finals began in 1950, James has won just two of the 64 total championships awarded. In fact, he has only appeared in four of the 64 — a measly 6.25-percent appearance rate.

“I wasn’t even born until 1984,” said James, immediately grasping at an easy excuse for his failures. “I’m only 28 years-old and I have two rings. I think I’m doing fairly well. I’m trying to improve every year. I’m doing the best I can.”

Even if James’ supposed “best” is enough to keep his recent championship streak going for five or even 10 more titles, he’ll still be short 62 rings — titles won by Bill Russell, Michael Jordan and other players clearly his superior who were winning long before he came along to cherry pick what’s left.

I think he is trying to agrue that Lebron can still be hated on because he was unable to win titles that took place 30 years before he was born?

Talk about the NBA draft now. LeBron is the best player in the world and the champ until someone knocks him off. But we don’t need to sit here and make threads about him 24/7 unless its a legit discussion. js…

Did nobody really understand the post?
It’s obviously a joke about how LeBron’s haters will find any excuse, no matter how stupid, to put him down.
You can argue that it’s not funny, but c’mon, people.

dude some people aren’t going to like Lebron for some reason or another just the way it is. It happens to every good/great player and team on all major sports just the way it is, but this is pretty pathetic attempt. But just my two cents

The guy was trying to be funny. I got it. I liked it. A few weeks ago I compared LeBron’s first ten
years in the league to some other greats. Now that LeBron won his second title he is way up there.
Interestingly enough, James is close to Jordan, but the best guy 10 years into a career was Magic with Shaq
being in the top 3 or 4. Years 11-13 or 13 put Jordan at the top and also helped some other guys while Bird
didn’t accomplish much after year 10. Can’t compare LeBron now to guys with a full body of work. But LeBron is on
    pace.

This week should probably be more about the draft though…

Well other than the idiotic post within this topic. I’m starting to get tired of this talk of “lebron haters”, there are haters of all the great players in each sport. Pointing out a group of a haters and attacking them is ridiculous, we all dislike different people, just let people be. People act like it’s wrong to hate Lebron, when it’s simply opinion and a dislike of his personality. As well all people lose logic in the same situation, say Kobe for instance: they talk about how he had Shaq for 3 of his titles, well without Kobe they don’t win those, and everyone has help to win the title. Infact the GOAT Jordan had one of the greats in Scottie Pippen on his team. Just let people dislike who they dislike, maybe if we did, there’d be less haters and less bandwagoners because many just do it for attention.

Most of the people that hate Lebron dont hate Lebron. They hate how that team was built through Pat Riley led Collusion. The thing I hate most about the HEAT is not the team but that horrible fan base getting such a great team.U dont need any more proof then the thousands that streamed out in Game 6.I lived in South Florida before Shaq came and no gave a crap about the HEAT even though they had an outstanding young Dwayne Wade. Shaq shows up and everyones a Heat fan suddendly. Shaq leaves no more HEAT Jerseys in South Florida. Thats what pissed me off the most about Lebron going there I dont hate Lebron the player at all. He is unbelievable and while I wont say he is better then Jordan yet as his career is nowhere near done but his level of play right now is higher then anyone I have ever witnessed play basketball and I was old enough to watch Jordans true prime.

1 other thing I cant stand and it seems to happen almost exclusively with Basketball the Bandwagon jock sniffing celebrities that leach onto winning teams. there are so many around the HEAT which makes it very difficult for me to embrace them and be happy they are winning. Thats not Lebrons or the HEATs fault of course but its still annoying,
