I posted this thread early in the pre season. To no surprise, I got absolutely hated on (well not entirely; thanks llperez)  for suggesting Fields will become a relevant player for the Knicks, let alone a starter and R.O.Y candidate during the season. Well, it’s post season now, and you guys all know what became of Landry Fields. Not boasting (because plenty actually did post threads suggesting Fields will be a huge surprise for the Knicks), but rather just wanna share with you guys the comments I received from this thread.

In addition, here’s another thread (not by me) blasting the Knicks for selecting "some unheard of bum from stanford.. when guys like Stephenson, Varnado, Lawal, SO MANY OTHER PLAYERS BETTER THAN RAUTINS OR THAT STANFORD GUY.. still havent been picked". Not hating, but I just felt given it’s post season, It’d be nice for everyone to reflect on the general opinion of Landry Fields from the pre season.

Funny how they were all calling him that guy from Stanford. I’m sure their really glad they passed on Stephenson and his off court problems.

You really can’t blame them for not expecting much from Fields, looking back sure Hindsight is 20/20 but at the time nobody really thought he would’ve been the impact he did this season, Fields has proved to be a solid role player and will continue to improve on his game.

I knew those comments sounded familiar.. hey, I’ve already admitted to my mistake… everyone is entitled to one, right? But you should understand that was a rant.. it was in the heat of the moment. Was I talking out my ass? Hell yea. But come on dude this topic was hot months ago why bring it up now.. one of your predictions came true.. llperez was right on the money when he blasted me for bashing on Fields but you don’t see him going around making threads about it. We’re making assumptions and predictions about prospects who haven’t even played an NBA game. You’re gonna get some predictions right and you’re gonna get some wrong. I was dead wrong on that one but come on dude.. are you really making a post right now because one of your predictions came true. Good shit though.. but next time it would mean more if someone else pointed you out for making an awesome prediction instead of you pointing yourself out.

Agreed. I hate these boasting topics. Congratulations, you were right about something. Like birdman (I’m not sure what his screenname is at the moment) once said, "Everybody’s been right at some point… Except cyclo."

Hey man, lol part of the reason I posted your thread, was cause I was just happy to see a fellow pinoy in this site. I figure reposting one of your thread was a way to get your attention, and now that I do, "kumusta pare". Did you catch the Pacquiao vs. Mosley fight (waste of hard earnt money by the way). Anyways, sorry if I’ve in any way infuriated you for reposting your thread (pasensia na pare), I just wanted to show everyone the general opinion of Landry Fields during the pre season. And don’t worry, lol I won’t point myself out for making awesome predictions again.

Luckily for me, I replied on the "Knicks are idiots" on the last post and didn’t talk trash about Landry.  I simply said, "Fields was just unknown to me.. too unknown for me to talk bad about the kid."

If you don’t know about someone, don’t talk trash about them and call them a wasted pick.

Since You feel entitled to call people out about their first opinions after two surprise picks well then hats off, u were right about Landry Fields…but I have a question, where all the "Evan Turner is a bust" apology threads, I mean he was the only rookie playing a significant role on a playoff team, he earned tons of experience and now knows what he has to work on to be a full time starter and leader, he was guarding Wade and Lebron in the 1st round(doing an admirable job as well) and was taking the big shots(off course he missed some key shots but he was there and his presence was felt) for all the Griffin/Wall/Cousins/Fields/Wes Johnson love, Turner was the last rookie standing and if he had a better showing could have helped upset the mighty Heat(it was his 1st playoff series people)…I just feel like players like Fields/Forbes and Neal will get all this credit for surprising the hell out everybody but ultimately fade into the back round, people like to feel right about something completely unexpected, but I can’t see you praising Fields in year, saying how great that pick was when he’s a role player on a bad playoff team like he was projected to be before his break out rookie season…Where are all the " Turner is a Bust " retractions???…I see none but this is the 3rd "Landry Fields was a great pick, I told you so" post I’ve read today…

^^-Apparently you didn’t fully understand when I called it a rant. And yes, lucky for you, good job.

And hey what’s up d-rav. I was infuriated or anything.. more shocked than anything. Yea, I did catch the fight (of course, he’s like our modern day national hero lol). I’m not quite sure about you calling me out on a thread to catch my attention but hey it sure did work lol.
