They won’t sign either I can’t see LeBron leaving Miami after winning back to back championships. After Melo left Denver and forced his way to New York I doubt he’d leave.
So the lakers should go to plan C tanking

Since the Lake Show going to plan B now try to get a LeBron, Carmelo, & maybe Both. Who has better between LeBron, Carmelo & or both going to Lakers next year 2014 free agent????
My opinion I think Lakers have better shot going after Carmelo Anthony than LeBron.

I really don’t see either going to LA if Kobe is there. Lebron will receive hate all over again if he leaves Miami goes to any team other than the Cavs. Not to mention it really hurts his legacy being on a 3rd team before his 30th birthday. Melo doesn’t want to go to LA and share shots with Kobe.

Lakers are not the team that would be tanking. They’ll fight for a play-off spot till the last man. I also agree that neither Melo nor LBJ are going to LA, so no more rings for Kobe and no titles for Lakers for at least few more years. I’m a Celtics fan but I wish LAL to be strong so there will be tensed matches between them and hopefully one day another Final clash of two legendary franchises and of course Boston end up victorius! 🙂

Paul George recently said he would like to play with the Lakers as Kobe was his idol and grew up a Laker fan (I am paraphrasing.) Go after the hometown kid cause you aren’t getting Lebron.. and Carmelo just has to much baggage imo

They should look at Rudy Gay, Demarcus Cousins and Danny Granger if healthy. Granger appears to be replaceable anyways.
