Lakers trade Bynum, Odom, Shannon Brown and 1st rounder

Pacers trade Granger, Hibbert, Brandon Rush and James Posey

    Salaries pretty much match up:

Lakers: Hibbert, Gasol, Granger, Kobe, Fisher

Pacers: Bynum, Hansbrough, Odom, George, Collison

This is actually not a bad trade IMO. I really don’t see a problem with it. The Lakers get young, get a good big man who can still develop even more in Hibbert, add agood/elite scorer in the prime of his career in Granger, get a spot-up shooting athletic defender in Brandon Rush, and a veteran in James Posey. I like this deal, but I suck when it comes to trades so I could be the only one who likes this for LA lol.

Only a Pacers fan or DNYCE would agree with your trade….

Indiana would slide George to the 3 and play Odom at the 4; Hansborough is solid, but he’s not a sure-fire starter on most teams, especially not with Odom around.

This is not the worst trade I have seen on here, but as a Lakers fan I don’t want the slow footed Hibbert on my squad. You still get a point for effort bud.

wow Lakers wouldn’t give up Bynum unless your putting George in there….and no offense to Hibbert, he’s turned into a nice player but him and Gasol would make for a soooooft, mid range jump shooting frontcourt

I’d like to hear what everyone thinks is the best each of our player’s could bring in trade … for example:

BYNUM: Howard or CP3 only … filler and picks would need to be included

    GASOL: Lewis/Blatche/#4/#18 … Barbosa/Ed davis/#3 … Iggy/Speights/#16

    ODOM: Felton/#22 … Stephen Jackson/#9

Anyways the op’s trade is decent, though the Lakers would be a worse team since Hibbert is a bad rebounder, pretty ineffcient, averages a ton of fouls, and Granger wouldnt get many shots anyway though he would help the Lakers out with spacing,Lakers shouldnt do it imo.

this is a bad trade!!! Lakers are not going to trade Bynum, he is the player they gonna build on for the future, he is big time talent and could become unstoppable, if Lakers would trade a big man it will be Gasol and also it wouldn’t be for Granger, cause now that Kobe is more of an outside player they would look for a different type of player than Granger who is also an outside shooter mostly. Gasol for Westbrook make a lot of sense for Lakers!

Gasol for Westbrook?  Are you serious?  There is NO WAY Oklahoma City would do that!

I’ve been hearing the "experts" talking about Bynum for Dwight straight up and that just makes me soooooooo offended. come on man, I think Drew can be the 2nd best C in the league easily but there is a HUGE gap between them right now and you never can be 100% sure on Drew’s knee. I feel like Lakers would have to also give up Odom, Shannon Brown maybe and some 1st rounders and the Lakeshow would have to take back some of the Magic’s bad contracts. I also think there might need to be a 3rd team involved b/c whatever the draft picks the Lakers give them are never going to be that good….some people might say that’s a lot but look @ the Melo deal and Dwight is younger, a 2 time DPOY (more??), and right now the only true C in the league…plus his playoff performance. smh. That’s what I expect from him everynight and hope he will use this early exit as motivation and not pout around like Melo until he gets dealt (if it happens)

Gasol or Bynum for Iggy and Lou Williams would work Imo…Also maybe Denver wants Bynum, a trade like Bynum and Blake for Felton and Gallinari may work for both teams…maybe Nene and Felton for Gasol or Bynum plus Artest or Barnes…Sixers and Nuggets have a lot of assets to get a Prime time player, the Nuggets may even have the cap flexibility to take on a Huge Contract…

what about this trade: Pau Gasol, Steve Blake for Andre Iguodala, Marreese Speights, Lou Williams.

does it enough value from the side of Sixers or they need to throw also Thaddeus Young in there?

i think it’s a great deal for Philli, with Pau and Brand and then drafting Tristan Thompson they will have great big man play, not less important this trade also will allow Jrue Holiday and mainly Evan Turner to play to theirs ability and potential. it’s a making of a strong team:

    Jrue Holiday/Steve Blake
    Evan Turner/Jodie Meeks
    Thaddeus Young/Andres Nocioni/Jason Kapono
    Elton Brand/Tristan Thompson/Craig Brackins/Darius Songaila
    Pau Gasol/Spencer Hawes/Tony Battie

as for the Lakers i feel the trade is also well for them, first of all they get more athletic, energetic and younger, they upgrade their PG position with Williams and make Fisher a backup, with Iguodala they get a wing who will lower pressure from Kobe of making plays and someone who could guard 3 positions(that will give them opportunity to put an amazing defensive lineup with Iggy-Kobe-Artest and of course Bynum up front, maybe it somthing they need to do in order to come back to championship caliber team), and they get talanted big in Speights to give more depth in the front court.

    Lou Williams/Derek Fisher
    Kobe Bryant/Shannon Brown/Devin Ebanks
    Andre Iguodala/Ron Artest/Matt Barnes/Luke Walton
    Lamar Odom/Derrick Caracter/Joe Smith
    Andrew Bynum/Marreese Speights/Theo Ratliff

as bad as Gasol has played recently, he’s a perenial All Star and 2 time champ. He’s still relatively young with little health issues, the Lakers are NOT going to settle for some package just b/c they wanna move him. Iggy would be a nice tandom with Kobe but Speights is wildly inconsistant and it’s unclear whether he will ever live up to his potential and Lou is not a PG, he’s a combo guard who can handle the ball but he’s going to look for his shot first. I really really like him as a 6th man (similar to the Jet) but I don’t think he should start. and Fish might not be around next year, though I doubt it b/c he probably doesnt wanna go out like that. They’d probably have to throw in Thad and whoever they draft this year, maybe another 1st rounder too. I don’t like how much you guys undervalue All-Star players in trades, ESPECIALLY the top flight guys. I’m not sure Pau will ever fully recover from this recent stint (in future playoffs at least) but he’s still amazingly skilled and at a higher level than Iggy

Pau is a great player but he wouldn’t be worth trading our depth for, he can’t turn the tide by himself and is turning 30 or 31 this off-season, Bynum and Blake for Iggy, Lou Williams and Hawes(Re-signed) is a fair deal, the Sixers would even throw in a future 1st rounder(with conditions built in around Bynum’s health)…that is a realistic trade Imo…Sixers would only want Pau if we could somehow get Marc in the off-season(some thing I could surprisingly see happening)

Since yall talking about impossible trades…A few years ago, the Lakers were rumored to be willing to send Bynum to Toronto for Bosh..I know Miami would JUMP at THAT

That Gasol trade would be great for the Sixers they need a Center who can score.

He’d more of a go to guy then Iggy ever was too.

Iguodala would help the Lakers defense, athleticism and he wouldn’t have to score that much with Kobe, Bynum and Odom.

Dam scarecrow’s 76ers idea makes sense thought I don’t think its happening.
