White ChocolateParticipantI had not watched him until today and he has definitely impressed me. He runs the floor well has a determination to get rebounds like Rodman. Faried needs a little work on the offensive side, but that will not be a problem. Faried has 7 points and 9 rebounds, Morehead St. would be up by much more if it was not for Louisville’s three point shooting. Great game 33-33 at the half, I am excited to see the rest of this game.

FastAndFuriousParticipantI was just about to comment on him, he is a tenascious rebounder and he plays very hard, runs the floor well and has some good face up moves. I’m impressed as well.

White ChocolateParticipantFaried is definitely doing great given the altitude that is affecting everyone, just wanted to note that.

OhCanada-ParticipantPlease stop comparing him to Rodman everyone. Please Im begging you. That is complete nonsense. Faried is a much better offensive player then Rodman ever was. Rodman also had one year where he averaged 18-rpg..Not 10 or, 15, 18! They are different players, just because Faried has great energy doesnt mean he is Rodman.

konqueredParticipantMorehead state is slowly tiring from louisville press. For those who dont know morehead state was actualyl leading 15-3 early on with louisville clanking buckets left and right

konqueredParticipantAt this rate, louisville might force them to have about 30 turnovers..

The lake show2How is he a much better offensive player than rodman ever was when rodman averged 25ppg in three years of college basketball?

SwatLakeCityParticipantFor a player who is only 6’8 he sure plays like he is a lot bigger. He plays like he is 6’10 yet he’s only 6’8! Kind of reminds me of Ben Wallace back in Detroit’s championship days, only he plays the 4 instead of the Center position, and it seems like he has the ability to block like him too! (This is my first time watching him too but I like what I have seen so far and I can see why this site just raves about him, he is a very good player and has bright future in the NBA)

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI’m not a huge fan of Faried in terms of his upside. I don’t think he is a good value as a lottery pick or in the middle of the first round, but he is a guy who can help teams get through 82 games. He can come off the bench, play hard, get an extra couple of possessions, and stay within himself. That is fine, but not so incredibly valuable that a bad team can make that kind of investment. He is fun to watch and easy to cheer for, but he isn’t Dennis Rodman. The extremes of his numbers are from playing in the OVC. It’ll help him get in the door, but I don’t think there is a ton of difference between what he brings and what Jeff Adrien or Trevor Booker brings and those two have bulk on him.

Providencefriars15ParticipantI think you are know what you are going to get when you draft faried, energy and rebounding, not a bad pick for the mid first round

sheltwon3ParticipantRodman is not a terrible offensive player like people think. He had a pretty good jumper back in his Detroit days. I think people forget him as a player back when he seemed normal. He also was a pretty good passer. I think people who did not actually follow up on rodman just think someone is similiar based on one aspect. I think the person who said Wallace may be closer. I am thinking a better rebounding Renaldo Balkman. I have only really watched a few highlights on him though.
