Among the Franchise Changing wings in the 2017 draft, Jonathan Isaac chose the least NBA-producing University. Big names like Kansas, Duke, and Michigan State get more coverage than Florida State. Despite this, scouts should spend more time on Isaac than the other three. Isaac is taller, longer, and a better shooter than Jackson, Tatum, and Bridges. With a build like Kevin Durant, Isaac uses his length to release his shot higher than the other players. While each player demonstrates defensive potential, no player has matched Isaac’s 7 blocks in a game (vs. Notre Dame). The main point I want to get across is that Jonathan Isaac is the best Small Forward in this draft. It may not be now, but give him three years and It’ll be clear.

Isaac and Jackson are way better off the ball and in a system than Tatum.

Tatum is your classic Carmelo type player who can get you buckets if you need them, I have no doubt about his size and ability to score in the NBA.  Tatum certainly is not a bad prospect.

Defensively again Isaac and Jackson are way better than Tatum.

I think Jackson is stronger and more athletic than both.

    Isaac is the best shooter.

Jackson is the best finisher, the most athletic.

Tatum may be the best at getting you one bucket.

Mentally, I think its Jackson he’s a competitor and also great at playing in a system.  Isaac is good off the ball but hasn’t shown any ability ot really step up and dominate.  Neither of them has.

I think the Mental aspect sets them apart for me.  It might also be fit as far as who gets taken first second or third.

For Philly I’d be very happy with either Jackson or Isaac.  I think Tatum is a ball stopper and not as high an IQ player, but if I was late lottery I’d be happy to end up with Tatum.

Anyone that takes him top 5 or 6, I don’t see it because of mentality.

He had some great creation today just coudln’t finish…he’s a true NBA player…but Tatum there’s just something about him where I don’t want him unless its late lottery.

All of Duke’s freshmen have been a disappointment.

I agree with what you said about Jackson and Isaac being mire dynamic defensively.  However you must give respect to Tatum’s scoring mentality.  He might be a ball stop but to some degree all scorers are.  I think he has more vision than Melo.  I would put him in the Jabari Parker area of ball stopping scorers…haha.

Wasnt Isaac trying to go straight to the pro’s. He mustve worked out with some people that showed interest immediately if he felt he was ready to go pro because he is bright and he likely has already been scouted by most of the basketball and recieved feedback. At the college level all you really see is how a player deals with the next level of physicality/athletisism, what they can improve on after recieving feedback and the basketball world can get a better feel of your character/nature/habits when you step into a professional enviroment. They already know he is 6’10 athletic and has a good jumpshot but they wanna know if he holds the door for people or slams it on them and walks away. Or if wakes up early to improve on his game and loves the sport etc.

challenged Ingram for the #2 pick in 2016 & Isaac is one of them.

That’s not a knock on Ingram I like Ingram a Lot – it just shows how Deep the 2017 Draft is & how sparse the 2016 Draft was.

I luv Jackson, Tatum & Isaac – all 3 are fantastic prospects. I still like Jackson the best b/c he has so many high level skills that contribute to winning w/o him ever dominating the ball. I don’t think he’ll ever be the scorer that a Kawhi Leonard has become but Jackson is the equivalent of a shut down corner in football. You put him on the opponent’s best scorer every single night & you can forget about that guy. His leadership & personality & motor are crazy high – all a bout the team all the time.

Isaac might be the best all around wing though as far as versatille scoring & he can do so many things too. He reminds me the most of Ingram, he is not as polished a player or as accomploshed a scorer but Isaac has the freakish athleticism that Ingram lacks. It’s that explosiveness that Smith Jr, Jackson, Giles, Fultz, Fox & Monk have that Ball & Tatum lack & we must be honest, that one skill is crucial in the NBA to becoming an NBA star.

Ingram is younger than Jackson.  Ingram had a sweet stroke.  He also just "got it" on Duke’s offense more than Tatum seems to get it.

Whenever Tatum touches the ball it seems like he wants to forget his teammates and score.  Ingram was way better at playing in a system.

Ingram and Isaac seem virtually like the same player.  It just comes down to their bodies and intelligence.  I think Ingram gives you a little more than Isaac.  He’s stronger, and has a mental edge.  But yeah  Ireally like Isaac.

Jackson isn’t in the same category as Isaac and Ingram because he can’t shoot it like they can…but I think his shot is a chip on his shoulder and he is out to prove that he can do it.  Would love to have Jackson on my squad, he can get to the hole at will in college.
