Hoops MaestroParticipantActually, he’s not bad, but it sounds like Atlanta is going to overpay him and give him a max deal.

sacphil_08ParticipantJoe Johnson isn’t overrated he’s just not what everyone wanted to make him out to be. He went to atlanta and made them better… ALOT BETTER. then when Atlanta got Jamal Crawford everyone said that maybe they could challenge for a championship. And Joe Johnson is one of those guys that’s an all star complimentary guy. Basically he can get great stats on a team that’s mediocre or even kind of good like Atlanta but he’s a number 2 option on a very legitimate championship team. I think everyone wanted to see him lead them but it’s outside of him. He doesn’t have the killer instinct of a Kobe or d Wade and he doesn’t want it as bad as those guys either. But alongside a guy who wants it he’ll be perfect and that team will be scary.

TRC1991Participantjoe johnsons a solid player but not someone you can build around, hes almost 30, hes a guy who you pair with another person of his quality to create a solid team

PureshooterParticipantExactly. He is a great second scoring option who can create his own shot and hit perimeter jumpers.

JNixonParticipantPut him with a Lebron, or even a guy like Derrick Rose and he’ll be a perfect fit and that team would be a legit contender. Everyone knows he’s not a 1st option player on a title contender, so he’s not overrated. He’s about to get paid by this Atlanta Hawks organization that makes shaky decisions quite a bit, and they really won’t have gotten better by giving him a max deal. They need a 1st option player, so at least a guy that can be an elite sidekick to Joe.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantHow many years did he play with Nash? Suns would’ve been really good if he stayed.
