the I in winParticipantI live very close to Wake and I’ve heard a few times he wouldn’t try in practice and has a bad work ethic. He has a great build and is still very quick but isn’t refined in any one skill and need work all around to be an ok player.

gregoden08ParticipantHe has some talent, but he tries to do too much and is very turnover prone. His jumper is also inconsistent.

JNixonParticipantAt best he has the ability to develop into a Ryan Gomes type of role player who can do a bit of everything and play both forward spots. Needs to refine every aspect of his game though, he has no standout skill right now.

ChewyParticipantThe Bulls have been openly shopping him in trades all summer. Wouldn’t mind somehow losing johnson and gaining fernadez… maybe a pipe dream though….

abriggs06ParticipantI agree with JNixon, James is going to be a do everything role player, at best. Hes got all the ability in the world, but I just dont see the passion for the sport in him. He seems like a competitor, and his martial arts pedigree more than backs that up. He steps up to challenges i.e., how he stepped up against Lebron and got baptized under the basket! But to me, he’ll be no more than a role player. Hes playin ball cuz he was good enough to get to the league and make a few million. Dont be surprised if he makes an exit in, say, 8-9 years tops and back to the mat.
