Money is getting thrown around today like its water !!!

I would of though around the $25 to 27mill mark but thats around $35mill.

Ben simmons and phillie are talking, i would expect something similar to this- maybe less to pay for horford and tobi harris

Murray Extension is a shock to me, I think that if I’m a GM I would still wait another year for the development of Murray although I want to praise the team for locking him and Jokic for the future and build around them

He earned it. You went to game 7 of the semis with him and Jokic leading your team. He’s only going to get better. He’s accomplished more than DLo ever has.

I understand why they paid him: His game will age well, His game goes well with Jokic(franchise player),He is young,He has a semi reliable jump shot and he has improved every year.. They only thing that annoys me about these deals is they are giving them superstar money when they

    a) haven’t really achieved anything: Like All Nba,Allstar,MVP,MIP,Olympic medals or Broken team or Nba Records..

    b) Might lose motivation to keep improving as they got the bag already..See Wiggins and to a lesser extent KAT…I don’t think Murray is like Wiggins as his game has improved every year but once he is paid will be the teller…

The 76ers though..Boy Simmons is kind of hard one to pick though as he is really talented, I would heavily incentivise his deal if they are thinking about it like:Year 1 a) take x amount of shot outside restricted area, allow him to drive dunk etc but he needs to try shoot at least b) take x amount of 3 point attempts and c) improve his F/T % the rest of his game is solid Year 2 improve % of year 1 goals  then year 3) Playoff success/Awards are expected… Because if they don’t they essentially have 6’10  Rubio/Lonzo  ball clone, both who take more 3’s than Simmons making them a threat at least lol

It is a big extension and I assume it is the max they can offer him. I’d have been tempted to leave a bit in the tank if this was the opening offer. See if you can get him for a bit less than max but go to max if his people refuse the offer.

Millsap comes off the books next summer so the salary will be freed up there.
