What team could AI resurect his career with. Personally I think the Knicks. The Knicks could sign him for one year to try and show someone that he still has some ball left in him rather than drafting a young kid who is guarnteed money through 2011. Also, playing in NYC could help spark up some new endorsements, which he is probably looking for because money is always an issue. So basically does this equation equal success for AI and the NYKs?
1 year of AI + NYK = signing with contender in 2010?

I think you are correct, that would be the best fit for AI at this point of his career.

The only time he had any success at winning games was with Larry Brown, who he hated. He is not a winner and while he gives it his all he is wildly greedy and a ball hog. When he’s hot it’s great, but when he’s off.. he is a coach and team killer. Denver was THRILLED to get rid of him. Philly was THRILLED to get rid of him. COACH KILLER and TEAM KILLER. Detroit will be thrilled to get rid of

Iverson is not a hall of famer. He is just a guy who took a ton of shots……and didn’t make that many of them. No defense, no leadership. He hurts you on offense. Hopefully people wise up before he is eligible.

Dtmfr why are u hating on iverson. Iverson is a freak of nature. How many 6′ 165lb players do u know of that has put up the kind of numbers that he has! Shoot there aren’t many players in the history of the nba that can stake claim to that accomplishment. He put up those stats when every defense in the league was geared to stopping him. Iverson was one heck of a defender in college! As a matter of fact, he was a two time Big-East Defensive Player of the year his 2 years in college (he’s also lead the nba in steals on several occasions, let’s not forget). Furthermore, when u are asked to carry the load offensively as iverson has been asked to do throughout his career something is going to have to suffer, which in his case was defense. Ask yourself this, has A.I every had a scottie pippen, a kobe, a drexler, a kareem, magic, etc on any of his teams? All of the aforementioned players helped lead other nba greats to the nba championship. Jordan, Shaq, Akeem, magic, Kareem. Imagine what a.i would’ve done with a guy like that to take some of the pressure off of him. As for iverson as a piston, that wasn’t a good fit for him anyway, the pistons knew it when the traded for him, they were more concerned with him coming of the books this year & freeing up cap space. Put iverson in the right situation & i guarantee he will score @ least 25ppg 7asst, 2steals

Uhh, are you guys above crazy?

Iverson has led the league in scoring on multiple occasion, Top 10 in NBA history in scoring average/total points, revolutionalized the cross over dribble. Pretty amazing how a skinny 6’0 guy can score just about anywhere on the floor.

When you’re discussing Hall of Famers, you critique them based on their individual efforts.
