Happy Birthday to the late Robert “Tractor” Traylor! Traylor played 7 years for the Bucks, Hornets, and Cavs, averaging 4.8 PPG and 3.7 RPG. The hefty big man (6’8″” 284 lbs) was a load down low…and that’ about allhe was known for. Dafted with the 6th pick in 98, Traylor never quite lived up to expectations, but he was a serviceable big playd in he postseason 5 out of his seven years in th league. He was a very good player for Michigan, averaging 16 and 10 beore going pro, and he was a McDonald’s All-American in 95.
Most notably, Traylor was traded on draft da to te Bucks for Dirk Nowitzki and Pat Garrity, which, in retrospect, was one of the most lopsided deals in history. But Traylor was always fun to watch (or so I’m told, I was 10 when he retired) as the mountain of a man would rumble down the paint. Maybe he was Raymond Felton’s inspiration… Traylor died much too soon in May of 2011 at the age of 34 of heat failure. He would be 36 today.

CynthiaParticipantHe was a beast, literally.
But who would have thought these goofy white nerds would have been the players they came to be?
