Olajuwon & Kevin McHale might’ve had the best post moves out of all the big men,in the history of the game…….

People gave the title to Houston, after seeing they’ll face North Carolina State in the finals…But the Wolpack were well coached, had a tough, defensive minded team, with experienced players in both the backcourt and upfront….And North Carolina State used the shot clock perfectly…..

Top ten all-time in blocks, scoring, rebounding, and steals. Nobody. Only slighty KG is the closes to the Dream in my time. NBA players today studie and admire his game still.

i dont understand why todays big men don’t know how to use the pivot foot.

the dream = best use of the pivot foot

I’d say KG and TD have very good post moves, however they’re still a step behind McHale and Olajuwon. Post moves seem to be a lost art nowadays. I can’t recall any other active player that excels at this.

     Closest to McHale: Duncan/Scola

Closest to Dream:  I guess I would say Howard though they score differently similar athletes and defenders.

There are still a few players with very good post moves…Pau Gasol currently is the best…..Garnett is very skilled down low…..Al Jefferson is among the 5 best post players, but other parts of his game is still a work in progress…

Carmelo’s post game is very underrated….He uses footwork and his body to score inside…..Duncan has always had good post moves…

Agree. I forgot about Scola. He’s a very crafty PF who owns a very interesting arsenal of post moves.

Boozer used to have some cards up his sleeve, too.

One of the reasons post players seem less skilled is that the rules have changed to discourage post play. Zone defenses make it a lot harder for big men to get the ball and clear out space to work, as well as the no hand checking rules that make perimeter players more effective. It’s too bad

thanks for the answer, i didn’t have the chance to watch Hakeem and Mchale on a game, i only watch highlights on youtube, and when i saw Mchale moves are crazy!, he slimes his way to get a basket,
