I’m wondering if anyone knows about the status of these players going to the NBA:

Emir Preldzic, Petteri Koponen, Sergio Llull, Renaldas Seibutis, Erazem Lorbek, Nando De Colo, or anythin about Zoran Dragic? any info would be appreciated

It has been reported last summer that the Mavs has big interest in bringing both Koponen & Calathes next summer ,nothing new since then ,but once the season is over we will know more
those are the only players I know about since I am a Mavs fan
ps: I am a big fan of Sergio Llull ,but I doubt he will ever come to the league tbh,he is already in gr8 situation in Real Madrid

      Simonas Baranauskas, LithuaniaBasketball.com

Mindaugas Kupsas might have been a surprising name to see in the 2012 NBA Draft participant list, but the Lithuanian big man has already attracted the attention of several NBA teams, which have invited the 7-footer for workouts.
The player’s agent Sam Porter informed LithuaniaBasketball.com that the 21-year-old is scheduled to have several NBA workouts already in May.
“Kupsas will be participating in a group workout in New Jersey on May 19-20 and then he will be working out with the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers after that,” said Porter.
The big man had a solid debut in the Lithuanian League (LKL), averaging 8.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocked shots in around 22 minutes per game for Baltai.

http://live.euroleague.net/gamesjs.aspx?ig=euro_188&st=20&dp=CUTPCF167AE22Q27N5NPC4636&z=1 CSKA Moscow lost the Euroleague title game in stunning fashion after leading by 10 in the 4th. 2-6 from the line and a pair of turnovers in the final 2 minutes will do that.

Olympiacos had six big late points from Kostas Papanikolaou and a big game overall for the draft prospect. He had 18 points on 5-5 shooting, and 5-6 from the line.

Petteri Koponen could be in the dallas roster next year, now that portland gave up on him (???). His will is to play in nba. There will be a decision to make between him and nick calathes…

    http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/mavericks/post/_/id/4680122/when-nick-calathes-play-in-nba-next-year

Sergio Llull : houston should try to bring him…. but I also doubt he will come cause he’s indeed in a great situation in madrid. Playing time should be the major issue. http://rockets.clutchfans.net/2455/sergio-llull-houston-rockets/

Renaldas Seibutis : heard nothing about him going to the mavs.

Erazem Lorbek : could consider joining the spurs roster next year. http://projectspurs.com/2011-articles/july/spurs-lorbek-coming-to-the-nba.html

Nando De Colo : is reported to try to get a spot in the spurs roster next year (the issue will be playing time). http://www.catch-and-shoot.com/livenews/nando-de-colo-veut-rejoindre-la-nba-cet-ete/2012/

Zoran Dragic :  has not been drafted… free to sign where he wants BUT he’s far from being an nba product right now (and I doubt he will one day).

Donatas Motiejunas and Jonas valanciunas are both in their way to the nba…

The Blazers are said to be looking at Victor Claver again, Interest cooled after Claver’s 11-12 season began with a couple of nagging injuries that made the Blazers very wary since they want to move on from being known as the injury team, but, Claver did put in some impressive displays that have reignited the Blazers’ interest, it appears he and Freeland will be either competing for a roster spot or if they both impress, find roster spots on Portland’s roster next season.

"The Trail Blazers could look into signing one or both of former draft picks Joel Freeland and Victor Claver this offseason, acting GM Chad Buchanan told Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune."

As far as I know Lorbek said he wannts to try him self next season in NBA. He is FA next after this season. Stanko Barac has also option to break his contract

Mirza Teletovic also said he wannts to go to NBA

Jazz draftee Ante Tomic also has option to end his contract and also some rumours are that new Madrid coach is not happy with him so Real migt break his contract

Does anyone have any news regarding Fran Vazquez? All i know is that his contract could be expiring and he could be coming to the Magic as a 28 year old rookie but, Vazquez has never actually stated that he wants to play for the Magic.

It seems he actually used the magic as a way to renegociate his contract with regal barcelona…

I don’t think he will ever come in the nba.

A year ago, Salah Mejri was being talked about as a guy who might get a Summer League look. Obvioulsy, with the lockout there was no summer league. With this year being an Olympic year, I wonder if he would risk playing in the Summer League when he will have a showcase in London. Either way, he is a giant soon-to-be 26-year old shot blocker who might intrigue a team enough to give him a year or two guaranteed.

Do I have to mention that Saer Sene basically mirrored Bismack Biyombo’s role from a year ago prior to getting hurt? Rich Cho does like’em bad. Ah 7-59, if only relegation was an option.

Speaking of bad draft picks, Alexis Ajinca might be worth a look. He was drafted when he was 18 and completely ill-equipped to play in the NBA. It should not have been a surprise he failed, but he just turned 24 and is finishing a really solid year in France. All those goofy measurements that got him overdrafted are still there, but now he might not be awful at basketball.

There are a number of young American pros who either flopped out or never got an NBA deal who have had nice years in Europe and might be names worth following in the Summer League: Davon Jefferson, Jacob Pullen, Sylven Landesberg, Jonathon Gibson, Scottie Reynolds, Matthew Bryan-Amaning, Sam Muldrow, and Chinemelu Elonu.

Milos Teodosic signed a three year deal last summer, but there was a report on the magical google thing that he is going to be a free agent and Minnesota will be interested. Take it for what it is worth. http://kstp.com/article/stories/s2606217.shtml Wolves president of operations David Kahn will be in Europe next week for the Euroleague Final Four. Among the guys he’ll be locked in on is CSKA Moscow’s Milos Teodosic. He’s a free agent who might have an interest in coming to the NBA. A scout who spends time in Europe said Teodosic can play the 1,2, or 3, has NBA-range, is a good passer and ball-handler, and is a fighter on defense. He’s one of the best players in Europe.
