I don’t follow College Basketball that well and certainly not as intensely as I do the Pros, except for the NCAA Tournament and March madness. Most of what I know about college basketball comes from this site and its members. (For that thank you, but that’s another topic that I will discuss in another thread)

Last year I thought Cinncinnati was known for Lance Stephenson and thats it. I thought with him they were a good team and without them they were horrible (Last night changed that however) I thought they were a one man team and that Stephenson going to the NBA wouldhave huge effect on this team and that’s the main reason why I had Missouri beating them.

I want to know was Cinncinnati really a one man team with Stephenson last year or where there other future stars as well and if so who should I watch out for in the future. Or was their performance yesterday really a result of good practices and great team chemistry and defense but will only be present for that game. Or are they really a cinderella team that we need to watch out for. (I believe that most of the Cinncinnati team stayed and that only Lance Stephenson left, so I thought that there success would be much worse because there is no Stephenson) Or did they get someone to replace him and that is why they played so well last night and really impressed me.

I know you can’t get much from stats so I want to hear from the people that follow college basketball more intensely than I do. What do you think about them. Should I be worried about them as a possible cinderella team?

Last nights game really impressed me and caused me to second guess my predictions and assumptions I had about them. Great job to the Cinncinnati team.

When Gates plays like he did yesterday, he makes you wonder how he isn’t in the NBA already. The thing is you never know when that Yancy Gates is going to show up. He fills every check on a list for a player but consistency. If the guy who showed up last night (the long lost DeMarcus Cousins twin) shows up against UConn, there is a good chance they win again. You just never know, and it has been that way for all three of his years.
