rickybobbyParticipantI was always under the impression that you couldnt trade guys that were injured, until this recent Bucks and Warriors trade. When Bogut was first rumored to be on the trading block thought it ment they were willing to trade him this offseason whenever he was healthy again. I remember a couple years back a Tyson Chandler trade didnt go through because of a toe injury. But now i know its really up to the team to decide if they want an injured player or not.

Mr. ChicagoParticipantThat Tyson Chandler trade was rescinded, because he failed a team physical.

butidonthavemoneyYou can’t trade an injured/sick player if the other team is under the impression that he is healthy. That’s why trades aren’t completed until a player passes a team physical.
Clarification: Trades aren’t completed until each team involved understands the health of the received players. Until that point, any team has the right to cancel the trade.
