I have no idea why I still waste my time looking on sites besides nbadraft.net.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1223192-chicago-bulls-should-chicago-use-noah-as-trade-bait

    All I can say is…"What?"

Don’t get me wrong I’m all for plotting out potential trades and signings but the writers for bleacherreport seem to have zero comprehension of how signing, trading, or just how sports in general seem to work.

hahaha!! I love that these guys are saying a trade of Noah and the 29th pick for Evans and the 5th pick might not be enough for the Bulls to part ways with Noah. If I was the bulls I would do that deal in a heart beat. You’ve been searching for a replacment at the 2 guard for 3 years now since Gordon left and you would get a top 5 pick in a 6 or 7 players draft. I would never do that if I was the Kings.

if I were the Kings, I would rather keep the 5th pick, get Drummond, Barnes, or Beal than to do a deal like that.  the only good thing I saw in there was that they would be able to unload Salmon’s contract…..which I dont see why N.O. would want to pick it up.  How a small backcourt like Thomas and Thornton could contend for anything is beyond me.  Not sure how pairing Noah with Davis would convince EJ to stay either.

We soon rip the daft trade ideas that get posted on here and often you get maybe one good trade idea out of 10 but when you get professional writers supporting ideas that would get a big negative posting score, we do wonder.

Lol @bleacher report having professional writers. If you can formulate sentences and you like sports then you can be a writer for bleacher report. I’ve seen some of the most absurd and disgraceful articles from that site.

Yea nobody on that site is a professional writer. It’s the sorriest sports site out there, and half of the dudes on there don’t even have sport facts straight. It’s one thing to have a wild opinion, but when 90% of your writers put out facts to solidify an opinion in their article, that aren’t even close to accurate it’s beyond embarassing.

The Bulls have no reason to blow up their roster. It hard to even call the team in the playoffs the Bulls with all the injuries they had. They are set for YEARS at almost every position.

PG: Rose is their starter for the next 10 seasons

SG: Richard Hamilton for the next two years (Replace with long term FA: See below)

SF: Deng for 2 years (and Mirotic comming over that summer)

PF: Resign Taj Gibson for the next 6 years (Amnesty Boozer whenever you need money)

C: Noah is their starter for 4 years minimum. (Resign Asik for the next 5 years as a back up)

    * Bulls have the Bobcats unprotected pick in 2016

So really their only holes in the team are SG and possibly back up PF when Boozer is gone. This upcomming season will be rough with Rose and Deng missing a big part of the season.

Here is a list of SGs that will be unrestricted free agents in the next 2-3 years that the Bulls could pick up: Landry Fields, OJ Mayo, Gary Neil, James Harden (unlikely to leave OKC), Eric Gordon, Ray Allen, Jason Terry, Tony Allen, Lou Williams.

The only way the bulls move Noah is to get another superstar to pair with Rose (Howard or Melo)

Kings are going to try passing on him, they recognized the job security is very fragile for everyone in general. Drummond is a project, they want someone that can contribute immediately. And I can’t blame them.

has some very stupid and pointless articles. For example

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1209046-miami-heat-10-reasons-dwyane-wade-is-overrated

Also in their most recent mock draft, they have Golden State picking Sullinger at #7.

In all fairness to anyone that posts trade ideas, how often do we rip trades after they happen? It’s easy to say team A or B would never do that, because we know predicting exact trades is very rare. But how often after a trade do we ask wtf team A or B was they thinking? In some trades there is a winner and a loser. In others, both teams win, and in others both teams lose.

The Kings have always been high on Noah, and he brings a few elements they do not have. I would expect Evans and the 5 to net more than just Noah. The Kings don’t really need to shed payroll, so getting out from underneath Salmons contract really isn’t that big of a need for them.

If the Bulls did want to blow up for a year then next season could be the one to do it. Remember when David Robinson was out for nearly all 1996-97 and the Spurs landed a certain Tim Duncan.

But realistically as Chewy says above, the Bulls have their team set fair, they are a major market time can can carry some luxury tax if need be, they have a good prospect stashed abroad, they own all their own picks and have one due from Charlotte. Even someone like Asik who plays begind Noah could well be wortha first rounder if ever traded so their front office has lots of pieces to play with.

Throw in the likely veteran FA or two they could attract who want a shot at the title and other future major FA’s so the team is set fair.
