SnowtaParticipantDoes anyone have any information on whether or not Glenn Robinson III is planning on returning on not? I’ve seen him in the 2013 mock drafts on here all year, but haven’t heard many other sources suggesting he would leave. I personally have been impressed by him this year. His versatility has been huge for Michigan and he has really seemed to be a glue guy for a team that has a lot of scoring options. If he did enter I would take him in the top 10 on potential alone (and the fact he’s proved to be a great team player that does a lot of little things). I would really like to see him return (especially with Burke and Hardaway probably leaving and maybe McGary too) and see how he handles a much bigger role, but wouldn’t be surprised if he entered to take advantage of this week class. Any thoughts or opinions?

ilike.panochasParticipantI think he should declare this year, especially with Michigan making the championship this season. If he comes back next season, Burke and Hardaway would likely be gone, and there would be tremoundous pressure on Robinson next season to carry the load, and I just don’t see him being a 1st option type scorer. His stock wouldn’t be any higher if he stays, so he might as well leave this season.

Sewok15ParticipantI imagine if they win Monday night Burke, Hardaway Jr, GRIII and McGary all go pro. If they lose I think the last two come back for sure. I like GRIII’s game a lot and believe he can be starter for years in the NBA. He plays the passing lanes as good as any wing in the country. He reminds me of Andre Igoudala with a better jumpshot but without the passing and ball handling skills. I think he would go in the 15-20 range in this years draft for sure.

SiggyParticipantIguodala without the passing or ball-skills isn’t much like Iguodala. Iggy’s mediocre offensively as is, now imagine him without those other qualities.
Robinson needs to improve his ball skills greatly otherwise he’ll just be an activity guy/ ball-mover on offense who can sporadically stick the open jumper.
I think he needs a lot more work at his natural position. He’s been strictly used as a college 4 this yr.

Sewok15ParticipantI realized as I was writing that I would get this response. I think he can be a useful NBA player because he is already ahead of Iggy (at the same age) when it comes to scoring. He has a great basketball IQ like Iggy can be very tough if he is playing aggressively. His defensive abilities and playing the passing lanes specifically is what made me bring up Iggy. A better comparison now that I think of it could be Kawhi Leonard.

TheLastWordParticipantFor those who have watched GRIII on a nightly basis, does he have SG potential in the NBA?

SiggyParticipantHe’ll likely be able to defend the position, but his ball skills aren’t there. He’d have to be in a lineup with another wing who can handle secondary ball-handling duties.

SnowtaParticipantI agree. His handle and passing skills definitely need to improve, although playing mostly the 4 this year for Michigan didn’t give him many opportunities to show off those abilities (especially with Trey Burke doing most of the playmaking). I think GRIII is a better shooter than Iggy when he was coming out. The main things I really like about GRIII though is his feel for the game and attitude. It makes me think at the very least he’ll be a really solid starter for a long time.

nick5354ParticipantGRIII is one of the only prospects i am exicted about. I see a future for him as a starter in this league, obviously not a go to scorer but has a lot to offer. My dream would be if he declares, Cavs trade down and grab him for their future 3. He plays within himself shooting a very high percentage .569%, and doesn’t force things. This is of course can be a negative as he can be too unselfish and not look for his shot and tkae a backseat to much. He is aslo very versatile. Needs to keep working on handles and his jumper, but i see great things for him.

Malik-UniversalParticipantI guess im in the minority that he should go back to school…. he doesn’t really have much creating skills as of now… ppl get so damn caught up with draft stock… hes not ready to go pro… this guy will be in the d league all of next yr if he enters

ManLugerParticipantIf anything I see a Thabo Sefal. Why even compare him to iguodola? He hasn’t shown the ball handling or playmaking. What the eyes show me is that he is a 19 year old true freshman who has shown up on some of the biggest stages. The boy makes hustle plays that you wouldn’t expect a 6-6 freshman playing out of position to make. The tip-ins, the diving for loose balls, and the ability to rebound. The kid is special. The offense will develop. You can’t teach the will to win which is what Lil Dog has. He should go out this year. His stock won’t go any higher due to him not really being a offensive creator, and with burke and hardaway leaving will put to much pressure on him to show aspects of his game that he most likely won’t be able to do. Lil Dog needs to go top 10.

Bob BallParticipantLil dog has a Luol Deng kind of game to me. Does alot of the little things that help teams win. He can help score as a glue guy and will probably become a reliable 3pt shooter. Also he’ll be able to defend

JoeWolf1He’s a tweeter in the worst way at this point in his development. He gets over powered by guys like Perry Ellis who are in the 6’8″ 230 lb range, and he needs to continue to hone his perimeter skills and ball handling. I like GRIII, but he’s going to have a hard time getting minutes in the NBA. I fear he may get skipped over if he leaves too early. I think a sophomore season would do him a lot of good.

SiggyParticipantHe’s not a tweener. No way is he going to see time at PF at the next level. He is a strictly a wing player, a SF more specifically with just OK size for the NBA 3. He only plays the 4 in college because Beilein likes to spread the floor and play 4 out 1 in. Plus he was too talented and college-ready to keep out of the starting lineup.
