As of today the Hornets are no longer and are now the Pelicans(as we all know).

And I’m loving it! Can’t wait to take a gander at the jerseys they come up with.
Geaux Pelicans!!!!! Can’t wait til they unveil the new jerseys and start making some major roster moves.
But what about my Hornets?!
Maybe the Bobcats will pick up the name? Who knows…
I’d love that if Charlotte re-introduced the Hornet name. I’m originally from Charlotte and I would really like to see that happen.
and if charlotte get the hornets backs… what about their past ? their history ? will it stay with the pelicans ?
So we’ll have the pelicans with the past of the hornets and the hornets with the past of the bobcats… and the sonics in seattle with the past of the kings and the thunder with a part of the past of the sonics.
the nba is going to be really difficult to follow in 10 or 15 years…
Yeah I really hope MJ makes a move to get the Hornets name back, would make the team a lot more appealing to fans and would signal the start of a new era.
I agree it would be more appealing but the new era started for the Bobcat when they decided to rebuild. Yea they had the worst record ever but these thing can happen during rebuilding in a small market. They just need progress regardless of their name.
Charlotte Hornets sounds way more appealing. Hope that happens. If I was a fan could deal with rebuilding but having to say I’m a bobcat fan….
New Orleans should have just taken Jazz back from Utah. New Orleans Jazz flows well and makes more sense. Utah could then be renamed the Utah Polygamists.
