Bryan Colangelo recently said that he wants to add outside shooting to the ball club + the raptors biggest need this offseason is a SF + if the raptors end up with the 8th spot they probobly wont have any good small forwards aviiable (Barnes/MKG whill most likely be gone and Perry jones just doesnt seeem worth it) + Raptors also have the tendency to favour international players

all this leads me to belive that Free Agent Ersan ilyasova will be their target this summer (Raptors have the most flexablity this offseasaon and can realisticly get him)

my question is regarding weather or not he can play the Small foward position effectively? will he be a good fit with the Raptors? and what kind of contract would it take to lure him away from the bucks?

not a bucks fan, but i think Ilyasova can play the small forward postion well offensively. I think defensively however, he will be exposed. He would be a long small forward, but i dont think he has the lateral quickness to stay in front of opposing 3s. Ive always liked what he brings to the table though as a solid option as a scorer

He’s not much different from Ryan Anderson in my opinion.

    He’s a stretch four.

He rebounds the ball awfully well and shot 46% from deep this year

I really like him, 13 and 9 for the season, ever since that 29 and 25 game, he’s averaged 17 and 10 over a 33 game span, I really like him, more than ryan Anderson because Anderson is really one dimensional, all he does is shoot threes, and doesn’t do much other than spot up and shoot, I like how Ilyasova plays he’s big and poised enough to play the four, quick enough to play the three, versatile, and I haven’t seen him poay too much, but from his numbers from three he looks like someone who should efriend the pump fake like Dorrel Wright, he’ll get defenders in the air all day.

And on a side note, the crowd is pumped in the Miami-NY game, this is Lebron’s time to go off, to make the big shots, it’s only a 6 point game, I am waiting for him to go off. He wants it, I can see it, the way he jawed at Chalmers, the way he’s working in the post, he wants it, but he needs to say "F U, my ball" and take over."

He’s a lot tougher, hustles more, and is a better rebounder than Ryan Anderson

Look for the Thunder to try to add him this offseason.  He can play back-up to Kevin Durant, which he hasn’t had his entire career and a stretch four that the Thunder lack with the penetration of Harden, Westbrook, and Durant.

^Ilyasova will get overpaid, he’s gonna get offers ranging from 25-35 million, and the Thunder can’t afford that with Ibaka and Harden’s payday coming up soon.

What were the Knicks’ fans chanting early in the game?

Raptors are going to go after him hard their talking media heads were planting that seed late in the season during pre/post game & Raptors broadcasts.

He’s one of my favourite players, just about any team could use his skillset in reality. But I can deffinitely see him getting overpaid like the Raptors did with Hedo Turkoglu a few years back, but I’m sure Ersan has no complaints about getting overpaid. =P

I wish him luck wherever he lands!!!

i remember reading a few months back thats he’s one of brooklyn’s free agent targets. im confident he would fit in there too as well as most places due to the fact that he can be very productive without the ball in his hands or have plays called for him. he’s very active and works his tail off on both ends of the court. a team like the knicks im sure would love to have him, maybe even more than Amare right now.

i would really prefer to see him as a power forward than make the transition to the sf spot just because he looses all his advantages aside from his height in that position. he’s tough which lets him play the four while having a speed and mobility advantage over the prototypical fours of the league. you move him to the three and he becomes a spot shooter with quicker guys marking him. why turn him into Shawne Williams when he’s already a better shooting, poor man’s version of Andrei Kirilenko?

i would keep him as a high hustle stretch four playing beside teams not in need of scoring options. teams that need that glue guy to make everything more efficient for the team. i think he’d do well in a lakers uniform, or in Sacramento with the kings, new jersey i see him fitting well if Deron and Wallace resigns while Lopez is healthy. but no matter where he ends up going, you know he will get paid. got to wonder though, what is his price range? 5-6 mill or 8-9 mill a season?

So many teams with caproom this summer means he will get overpaid. He is a solid player and hes gonna get some money this offseason.
