jjonzParticipantI think J.Johnson is one the worst contracts in NBA. He will be 34-36 making 20mill avg between 12-17 ppg.
We had no choice but C.Boozer may not live up to his Contract. Especically if he trips over his gym bag again.
R.Gay & M.Conley. 5yr 80mill & 4yr 40mill.
B.Gordan & Charlie V
You just can’t pay 2nd option like Stars. at least in small markets.

ilike.panochasParticipantBrandon Roy’s contract is a killer.

RickyRubio9ParticipantIf I were Memphis; I’d be A-Okay with Rudy Gay making that much.
Joe Johnson has struggled this year.
Everyone knew the Detroit Duo would struggle and was overpaid.
Mike Conley was a Head Scratcher as well, but I think Chi-Town needed an Inside Presense and Boozer is Legit.

Lotto StudParticipantMarvin Williams anyone? Has not lived up to expectations but gets good pay for lack of play.

rickavelliParticipantRashard Lewis has a killer contract….. Orlando just overpaid for him, dont know why cause nobody else was gonna come anywhere close to it. Gilbert Arenas making that much money and not even starting is terrible. Elton Brand, if he was still playing at his 20 and 10 leval then it would be fine but 13 and 8 just aint getting it done.

SwatLakeCityParticipantAK. 17 million for a defensive player that is not in any means the Jazz’s best player. Dwill is their best player and not even his contract is bigger then AK’s. Both Memo and AK have huge contracts that are killing this franchise. Both of these contracts destroy any chances that Utah has of signing a 2 guard that clearly the Jazz need.

iguapops420ParticipantAnybody ever wonder how Austin Croshere made 7 million dollars a year. Or how about Darko and Kwame pulling 10 per year. Trevor Ariza being paid 5-8 million dollars to avg less than 38% shooting because he was a product of a system.

boxn1ParticipantAustin Croshere had 5 good games in the playoffs in 2000 and was overpaid for it handsomely……
The fact that Memphis resigned anyone shocks me. They haven’t won, what they have isn’t working, time to start over….again……

iguapops420ParticipantWhat? Why would you start over with that kind of talent. If anything you try to build around Gay, OJ, and Gasol IMO. They should have looked to get rid of Conley and gotten some vets. Z-Bo needs to go because he is hampering Gasol’s development. As good as he’s been, they need more of an athletic 4 to run with OJ and Gay. They played a lot better ball last year. Funnyhow that coincides with Conley suddenly looking good and OJ looking like solid Crap. He’s become a forgotten player because they have to prove Conley plays up to his contract Statistically. They were looking like a much better team when their PG was playing within himself getting the scorer’s the ball and trying to play defense. At this point I think Andre Miller would be a nice player in Memphis., or DJ Augustine who would most certainly make sure the stars get the ball. The Grizzlies are only time away from being a true playoff team. Conley’s contract may have ruined that cohesiveness that was developing these guys, along with Z0Bo longing for that big contract extension. Too amny guys playing for themselves right now.

ucla86ParticipantAs a Raptor fan Jose Calderons contract really bugs me.
Rashard Lewis and Gilbert Arenas are the two worse contracts in the NBA though.

Couldve just signed Matthews.

Afactor4ParticipantNo mention of Brendan Haywood yet?
6 years 55 million for a 31 year old back up center.

HitsterParticipantDeSanga Diop’s 5 year deal at $32 million was a big price for a guy who got traded. Brand and Arenas were both given huge contracts after missing nearly a season through injury. Some of the contracts that NY took on under Isiaah Thomas were horrible as well.
