llperezi have on problem with the dunk. But acting hard and flexing with the mean staredown after you kneed a guy in the stomach is bs. Not trying to sound like an internet tough guy, but if i was out there pierce would have got nailed next time down with an illegal screen big time.

ZeroParticipantI think that dunk was legal, but what Pierce did to Bosh right after kneeing the guy in his groin was very disrespectful. The other Raptors didn’t say anything cause the Raptors are a soft team.

leppyParticipantthe raptors are soft but not that wasnt disrespectful. bosh disrespected himself signing up to be in that poster. If anybody has ever dunked or blocked somebody off the backboard real hard they would know what its like to have that adrenaline flow through. i blocked a kid off the backboard once and the ball was caught at the three point line. i volley ball spiked it a 100+ people were all like ohhhhhhhhhhh. i stared that kid down and hopped a couple times near him too much adrenaline let them play.

the I in winParticipantIknoBall12 how can you say he shouldn’t have jumped? he was trying to make a basketball play and pierce would have got blocked if he didn’t kick him.

M-DYMESParticipantI do that stuff all the time as a guard going against bigs. Not the dunking, but when I take it to the hole I often end up kneeing, its just a reaction and it creates space. I’ve never been called for a foul for it as the big is inside the circle. As long as it is inside the circle that is a clean move every time.

BasketBalAllanParticipantI was under the impression that raising your leg to create space from the defender was made a foul a couple of years ago. I know for sure that I have seen it called as an offensive foul on rare occasions, I just do not remember when. I think it has to be a fairly obvious call though; otherwise you end up calling a foul on a guy for bending his knees a bit while jumping. I view it in the same category as using your off arm to hook or push someone while you are driving to the hoop, which is also a foul.

llperezdepends, if the ref thinks you are intentionally using your knee to clear space and knock off the defender, then it’s an offensive foul. However, it’s hard to tell what’s intentional and whats just natural/incidental contact.
