festar35ParticipantAny of you have a favorite player(s) on a team you just don’t like that much, but support them anyway?
I don’t mind the Clippers but i support them because Eric Gordon is one of my two favorite players. My other is Kevin Durant and what annoys me about his team is i watched a lot of Ray Allen while in Seattle and didn’t like the move to OKC.

onn1320ParticipantI just love the NBA – so I really have no favorite team. – Although I root for the Hornets because I’m from N.O.
But I have to say Kobe is my favorite player – so guess I don’t mind the Lakers.
I also like Vince a lot so I’d be stuck deciding which side to take if they met in the finals.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI don’t mind the Clippers because of Eric Gordon. I’m starting to not mind the Pacers because of Danny Granger.

festar35Participanttezo aren’t you a Pacers or Clippers fan?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/26/2009 - 1:52pm #233379
IndianaBasketballParticipantI’m a Pacers fan, but I’m starting to get tired of them… For real. I put up with them because of Danny Granger.

llperezI kinda root for the pacers because of Earl Watson. The Bucks because Ridnour, Mbah a Moute, and Gadzuric. The Wolves becasue of Love, Hollins and Rambis. The Kings, even though I used to hate them, they grew on me when I lived in Sac. That’s it. I guess the thing they all have in common is that they are no threats to the Lakers so I don’t mind rooting for them. Once a team becomes a threat to my lakers, I don’t care if my grandma played for them, I’m rooting against them.

festar35Participanttezo you are the exact same as me man. I have been Pacers fan since the days of Reggie but getting tired of them going no where. That Bayless trade still annoys the hell out of me.

IndianaBasketballParticipantHa ha you too, huh? I remember when we drafted Bayless… I was super excited and then I heard, “Bayless has been traded to Portland for Bradon Rush.” I went from being extremely high, to extremely low in a matter of just minutes.
I’ve been a fan since the Reggie days too. Woody, Reggie, McKey, Smits, the Davis brothers… I miss them days man. Right now, I’m finding it hard to support them. We have like the least athletic team in the league. We were damn near last in dunks last season lol. If it wasn’t for Granger, I think I’d probably sell my season tickets.

festar35ParticipantIf Granger wasn’t there i would have no interest either. Pacers got lucky with him turning out so good are all those years in College, Bird is hoping that Hibbert, Hansbrough or Rush will have that potential but i don’t see it. Should have just drafted on potential rather than NBA ready last two drafts. Could of had Bayless, Hibbert and Earl Clark throw in Danny great future and exciting team.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/26/2009 - 2:09pm #233390
llperezthey did draft on potential when they took Shawne Williams after his freshman year at Memphis top 20. That worked out much better then proven college players like Hibbert, Rush, and Hansbrough. Or how about when they rolled on the dice on Jamison Brewer who was unproven out of college but had all kinds of potential, that worked out great too.

festar35ParticipantGotta admit that a line-up of
PG. Bayless
SG. Dunleavy
SF. Granger
PF. Clark
C. HibbertWould be a far more exciting team to watch and could turn into something pretty good.

llperezBayless is decent, but he has shown nothing to make me think he is a starting nba pg. And I watched him at Arizona and felt that way before he came out. He is an explosive scorer, but he is only really effective when he is focuses on beating his own man off the dribble and getting into the paint. Make him run a team, and he is not better then either Ford or Watson at this point. And Earl Clark over Hansbrough? Hansbrough is not a star, but he is doing work and competing. What has Clark shown thus far? I’m not saying Bird has been great as a gm, but a lot of the problems in indiana have to do with injuries and the whole Artest/O’Neal/Jackson combo blowing up on them. Guys like Watson, Head, Jones, and Hansbrough are proving to be solid additions for relatively cheap.
Besides drafts are always 50/50 in hindsight. I’m sure any team could go back over their draft and see how they could have drafted better.

gatorheelsParticipantI have never really had a favorite NBA team. I just become a fan of teams that have some of my favorite players playing for them. So my favorite teams change frequently. Right now I like the Warriors because of Randolph & Morrow. My favorite team is probably the Bulls because of Noah & Tyrus Thomas. & Whatever team Rashad McCants signs with. Seriously, can he find a team?

RICO 1981ParticipantKobe is my favorite player, but I always like to check on Portland just to see if Oden is doing his thing. People are calling him the next sam bowie, so i hope he can prove them wrong.

llperezNobody on here has said Bayless isn’t decent. I said he was decent, just not a nba starter. I look at things more then stats, I watch him play. If you are reffering to me.
