This just adds to the rivalry. Duke cops arresting UNC player stud PJ Hairston for the herb.

DURHAM (WTVD) — Durham Police confirm to ABC11 that UNC basketball player PJ Hairston, and two other men, were charged with possession of marijuana Wednesday.

Police say the sophomore guard was stopped at a license check at 10:20 p.m. at the intersection of Holloway and Guthrie streets near downtown Durham.

Hairston was also charged with driving without a license.

A spokesman for UNC Athletics tells ABC11 that they are aware of the situation.

“We are aware of the situation involving one of our athletes,” UNC Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications Steve Kirschner said. “We are still gathering information and may comment further later.”
In April, Hairston confirmed he would be returning to UNC next season after considering going to the NBA.

It is unclear on how Wednesday’s arrest will impact Hairston’s standing at the university.

This really isn’t an issue except for the fact that he made a dumb choice in choosing to drive without a license. The NBA hasn’t trusted for bud or what I like to call my own lil version of pop eyes spinach Hahaha but yea they haven’t tested for it in years. Plus soon it will be legal I forgot what position he held but a former top Microsoft exec isststarting a $100mil bud company in Washington. Shit woody Paige even once said if the NBA tested for weed there wouldn’t be an NBA lol. The real issue is the stupid choice in knowing u don’t have a license and choosing to drive none the less while blazing cause that reflects more on character and decision making.
