r377ParticipantI wonder how many Perry Jones fans will actually put their hand up and admit to their "top 5" or future all-star comments…
same goes for Austin Rivers….
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/09/2012 - 9:29pm #679376
Seamo15Participant^ Start of the year I had Perry jones to go top 3, I’m not too proud to admit it. My dumbest thing however was saying that the Nets were a lock to get Howard.

KayjayParticipantThe Sacramento Kings would make the playoffs. ROFL tall order huh?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/09/2012 - 9:42pm #679377
Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI said Ricky Rubio was overrated……..
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/09/2012 - 9:55pm #679380
Anton123ParticipantWell, I made a thread called Perkins – DPOY. It’s not THAT bad though lol
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/09/2012 - 10:21pm #679383
JordoParticipantI said the T-wolves would make the playoffs and clinch 7th or 8th seed. Which actually wasn’t dumb it’s just that once Rubio went down everything fell apart.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/09/2012 - 10:58pm #679385
invalidParticipanti didnt said it here but i thought tyreke and jennings are gonna step their game up. even picking tyreke in 1st round of fantasy hoops.. lol

JunkYardDogParticipantI thought/said Chicago would be Champion.
I thought/said Steph’ Curry would make an All star season…
I didn’t see Philly playing like that.
I thought/said Portland would be a PO team.
I thought/said Jimmer would be more successful.
I thought/said Howard would be traded.

khaled_a_dParticipantTHat Sullinger will be top 3 pick, that Davis won’t be no 1 pick(that was b4 the season started actually)
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 12:30am #679390
Afactor4ParticipantSidney would be drafted highest out of all the MSU draft prospects!
YIKES

Chilbert arenasParticipantPreseason: "No way Davis goes before Drummond" …Damnit…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 1:23am #679399
omphalosParticipantTo be fair, many of us hadn’t seen Drummond or Davis play full games before the season started, and literally everything this site wrote about Drummond said he’d be the 1st overall pick in whatever draft he was in. The first time I read that I thought it was a big call for a guy who’d never played college. Is it our fault if we placed too much trust in the scouting and reports of this website? (For the record I still think that Drummond will be a better pro than Davis if he’s drafted somewhere he’ll get an opportunity.)
The dumbest thing I’ve said this season? Probably that the Celtics wouldn’t make the playoffs, and that Miami would sweep us. That said, it was a pleasant surprise when that didn’t happen.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 1:47am #679401
Charlie SheenParticipantAnthony Davis was over rated….still think he is
Renardo Sidney would be an All American……oh god
Knicks would make the ECF, Miami wouldn’t oh god
This one does it though, the Bobcats would make the playoffs and MJ would win executive of the year
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 1:48am #679402
surveParticipanteasily the dumbest thing I remember saying was that the Clippers had a chance against San Antonio and would win at least two games. I didnt know what the heck I was talking about.
secondly, I picked Kemba to win ROY. he put up good numbers, 12ppg, 4.4apg, 3.5rpg but I didnt know the Bobcats would be the worst regular season team in history.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 1:50am #679403
FearTheStacheParticipantOnce Cousins had demanded a trade, I said Celtics would trade J Oneal and 1 1st round pick for him(im a very biased Celts fan)
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 3:24am #679407
SpacegrassParticipantYea , I too thought the Blazers were going to make the playoffs and be no worse than a 5 seed. Man was I wrong on that one.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 4:49am #679418
Meditated StatesParticipantHe did not show me anything to lead me to believe that will work. Maybe I am hard headed, but I stil believe PJ3 is the best prospect in this draft with Austin Rivers, and Barnes. Maybe next season that will be dumb, but until I see them develop I still believe that.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 4:58am #679423
NCarmean18ParticipantI said that Jimmer had a very good chance at Rookie of the Year…
Wow.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 5:41am #679428
13kavakI guess you need to factor in rigged officiating into these predictions, didnt know.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 5:41am #679429
The8thDeadlySinParticipantI said something about "sucking the cock of life."
LoL..
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 5:45am #679430
Counting StarsParticipantLebron would choke Miami’s way out of the finals.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 6:23am #679433
Bossy13ParticipantI said these dumb things prior to teh start of the season ( and im sure many more)…
That Tim Duncan had no chance of staying healthy and effective.
That Derozan would find his jump shot
That Pau Gasol would be the best Laker
That Jersey would make the playoffs
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 6:25am #679435
omphalosParticipantCome to think of it, I’m pretty sure I said that Tim Duncan should just retire, because he can’t get it done anymore in the post-season, and his first round exit was evidence.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 6:27am #679436
PrecociousNeophyteParticipantI said that Jimmer Fredette would make the all-star team because fans would vote him in
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 7:19am #679443
TRC1991ParticipantI said Kenneth Faried was gonna suck… SMH

- Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 7:33am #679447
HaleParticipantThought Rubio would suck, and thought Drummond would be a 20 and 10 guy at U-Conn and a lock for #1 with Barnes a lock for #2.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 8:23am #679466
JoeWolf1I said that Dexter Pittman would start 20 games and become a reliable #2 center for Miami.
He did improve, but despite starting 6 games, he’s best known for closelining a guy in garbage time…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 8:51am #679476
WizardofOzParticipantSaid Anthony Davis would be a bust (still think he is, but too a much lesser extent)
Said Quincy Miller would be a top 5 pick. SMH
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 8:58am #679473
Chilbert arenasParticipantI didn’t think Bynum had a chance of staying healthy
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 9:59am #679493
Chilbert arenasParticipantHe hasn’t even been drafted yet, how could he be a bust?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 10:23am #679504
WizardofOzParticipant^^Typo. I meant to put that I thought he was overrated coming out of high school.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 10:32am #679506
TallmanNYCParticipantMost recent bad call for me was that the Spurs would win in 5. OKC went to the next level and they also found a way to basically solve the Spurs offense.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 10:39am #679509
Chilbert arenasParticipantAfter games 1 and 2 I felt the same way, and I think most people did, that wasn’t that bad.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 2:11pm #679566
Bill Walton’s KneesParticipantI said Daniel Orton would have a better PER then Demarcus Cousins
yeaaaaaaaahhhhhh……
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 2:25pm #679567
GrandmamaParticipantI said Drummond would be in contention for NPOY….oops
I said Derrick Williams would win ROY…..oops
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/10/2012 - 2:26pm #679568
rwd5035ParticipantI said the Knicks would win 44 games.
I thought the Spurs would beat the Thunder in 5.
I thought Harrison Barnes was going to step up, and show why he should be the #1 pick.
I thought the Lakers would miss the playoffs because Kobe wouldn’t be able to handle the shortened season, and Bynum would get hurt.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/11/2012 - 3:49am #679727
mikeyvthedonParticipantI bought into the "Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is having a better freshman season than Anthony Davis" hype. Did not say he was the better NBA prospect, just thought he was having a better freshman year for a while. Turned out to be quite wrong.
Did not believe Thomas Robinson would surpass Jared Sullinger as a NBA Draft prospect.
Did not believe the Thunder would make the Finals, actually picked the Lakers to do so. WRONG.
Believed a majority of the season that Andre Drummond would end up as the first pick in the Draft.
I am sure there are many more. I say a lot of things and not all of them are right. Think most people tend to and if they don’t, they probably do not go out on much of a limb.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/11/2012 - 4:15am #679731
PulseGlazerParticipantMy big one was thinking Kyrie would be a bust. He’s a franchise player – whoops. I, likewise, saw Portland as a top 5 playoff seed. I thought the Suns would be one of the worst teams in the league and was sure the Nets would keep their draft pick. I thought the Bulls would win the finals, but, well, Rose, and after was SURE San Antonio would.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/11/2012 - 4:30am #679735
ProudGrandpaParticipantI said I knew more about basketball than Aamir…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/11/2012 - 4:42am #679739
Toronto16ParticipantI said the Knicks were going to win the Atlantic division, and had a shot at making the finals.
I said Drummond was going to be the #1 pick (although I think he will be a better pro than Davis)
I said Ricky Rubio was going to flop (I am really glad I was wrong)
I said DeMar DeRozan was going to improve
I said the Thunder didn’t have enough pieces to make the finals.
Boy am I dumb…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/11/2012 - 8:09am #679812
Sewok15ParticipantDrummond was the next Dwight Howard and a lock to go #1 and UCONN would compete for another title.
Quincy Miller and PJ3 would both go top 10.(Although I still have hope that PJ3 will shine in the NBA)
I did have the Heat and the Thunder in the finals but I am pretty sure that was the consensus thought.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/11/2012 - 5:46pm #680030
aamir543ParticipantI thought the 76ers would be a frontrunner in the East behind Miami and Chicago, it was sort of true, until they really fell flat on their faces. They have a bright future and they had a nice postseason run but we all know that they would’ve gotten steamrolled by a Rose led Chicago team, however I have a lot of faith in them for the future.
I thought the Nuggets would be the 3rd best team in the West.
I thought that Sullinger would dominate and have himself as a lock for a top 5 pick, he had a very nice season, but I’m telling you, he’s a steal in the late lotto and some team is going to be licking their chops if they get him in hte late teens or even the 20s.
