llperezI read the first page of the link and it doesn’t imply that Any of these are actual rumors, it just says these are ideas that the writer thinks makes sense which is similar to the article title of “predicting trade scenarios”. There is a huge difference between actual rumors that have merit vs trade ideas that someone makes up. Does the rest the article support that these are actual rumors or did you just make that thread title up fandango?

Mad MaxParticipantSome interesting trade ideas.
I like the ORL-LAC trade (assuming Paul resigns), WSH-MIN trade, DET-PHI trade, MIN-CHA,
I think the POR-CHA, and IND-PHX trades are pretty stupid though

jjbutler73ParticipantMost of these guys don’t know the difference between “rumor” and “prediction”. They also think “consensus” is when 1 person says something.

nick5354ParticipantSo the Thunder who are a NBA Champ Contender Trade away their back up PG and trade away assets for a no 1 pick in order to draft a 0 offensive game rail thin PF/C, when they need a low post SCORER and is coming off a torn ACL. Even for the Bleacher Report this is one of the worst trade ideas ever.

Sewok15ParticipantI would love to see the Sixers trade turner for the 8th pick. He has been really up and down in Philly and looks like he needs a change of scenery. I would also be happy to pick up Singler because they need some wings that can shoot. If they would somehow come out of this draft with KCP and Adams or Zeller that would be a very good draft for them. Plus next year will be a good year to be one of the worst 4 teams in the NBA.

Scott42444ParticipantI definitely agree with everything you said. Well, I don’t know if I would trade Turner for the 8th pick in this year’s draft. As a matter of fact, if I owned the 8th pick in this draft (Pistons) I would DEFINITELY consider taking Turner so that makes me leary.
But, I do agree 110% about next year’s draft. I think I might go so far as to tank the entire season to get a Top 3 pick. If the top freshman all declare, along with everyone who stayed at school this year, I believe it could rival 2003. If you are a team like Charlotte, Phoenix, Toronto, or any of the other teams mostly devoid of talent you should trade anyone and everyone to get into the top of that draft. Look back at 2003 and show me the teams that went for the franchise talent and how that changed the fortunes of those teams (playoff and Finals and Championship bound). Look at the team that drafted for “team need” and you will actually see a reverse trend where they (Pistons of course) were already Championship caliber and were constants in the ECF but went the other direction. I personally think that the Pistons would have a couple more trophys if they would have taken Carmelo, Wade, or Bosh and added them to an already well rounded and potent team. Hell, could you imagine Carmelo’s scoring ability being added to a starting 5 of all-stars? But, they went for the “project” who they could stash on their bench to “learn” and who fit their roster better at the time. You take the guys who you project to be HOF’s when you are in the Top 5. You DO NOT go for team need. 10 years down the line and Miami has 2 rings and going for a 3rd based on drafting Dwyane Wade. Last year’s ring is almost 100% because of drafting Wade. He recruited the other 2 guys down there. If I were Jordan, I would trade everyone on my roster except for MKG for a lottery pick and I would throw MKG and the practice facility if I could get a Top 3 pick.

Sewok15ParticipantI would keep Kemba Walker if I were Charlotte. He started coming on hard last season and by the end of the year he was one of the top 10 PGs in the league. The two best players in next years draft are most likely SF so I would even keep Walker over MKG because Wiggins and Parker would be definite upgrade. Marcus Smart will be a nice PG as well but I don’t know if he will be better than Kemba for sure.
Next year is ETs last year under contract (He has an 8 million dollar team option for 2015) with the SIxers so I think he may have more trade value right now then he will ever have again in his career. He would fit very nicely in Detroit next to Brandon Knight because they can both handle the ball and Knight can thrive off the ball with Evan running a lot of point like he did in Philly. If Detroit can get lucky and have someone fall to 8 they could still get a good player but I think Turner still has some decent upside even at age 24. He was the clear pick at the time and it was a no brainer to take him 2nd overall but looking back he has been about the 7th or 8th best player from that draft. Paul George and Greg Monroe appear on their way to multiple all star games and Turner is still trying to find his place.

HitsterParticipantThe draft day moves that actually do take place may be more interesting than the actual draft. I’ll be interested to see what moves the likes of Chris Grant, Danny Ferry, Sam Presti, Donnie Nelson, Ric Burford pull off. Plus could Daryl Morey try to get Houston into the draft and with Kevin Pritchard back running a draft room the Pacers may be worth watching if they decide to try and do something with say Danny Grainger.
