It’s hard for a GM to make a great deal but Ainge has been pulling off heists left and right. The KG trade was a robbery. the nets trade was a robbery. The sixers trade this year was a robbery. Jayson Tatum looks like a star not saying Fultz won’t be but Kyrie is top 10 in the world so we didn’t need him and the Lakers pick/Kings is icing on the cake. the Celtics Turned the 1 pick into the better player and a top 5 pick. The Kyrie trade is looking more and more like another robbery. Kyrie is clearly an Alpha who Has the Clutch Trait. The nets pick that was the main piece looks like it will be a 9 to 13 pick. IT could be a rental. Crowder just isn’t the same player without Brads system. Zizic could be good but he hasn’t touch the floor. Ainge has yet again pulled off another heist. I think his next play comes from Memphis.

The cetics own the Grizzlies pick its top 8 protected then top 6 then unprotected. I’m a huge Marcus smart fan but with Gordon coming back and a real chance of a top 5 next year he is tradeable. Smart and the Grizzlies pick back for tyreke Evans. He’s on his final year and is on a steal of a contract. It’s a lot to give up for a rental but he would make the celtics the clear favorite in the east and could put them over the top vs Golden State.

It’s an impressive list of achievements.  Of course as a Sixers fan I will be rooting for the Lakers and Kings to win the lottery this year and next year as that will land your Celtics a 76ers pick which will most likely be in the late teens.  And obviously I will be rooting for Markelle Fultz to return to the court and dunk on Kyrie’s face a bunch of times.

But what will most likely happen is Danny houses Memphis in an epic deal to acquire a rejuvenated Tyreke Evans who somehow fits perfectly into Brad Stevens system, a move that puts them into the finals and costs roughly a bag of balls.

Easily one of the best GM’s of alltime in all of sports in my mind. I hate him so much.

I love the idea of Ty Evans on Boston, BUT NO way does Boston give up a poteial future lottery pick (Memphis) and Smart for a rental. Yes Ty would be a perfect Celtic, but someone will throw a huge amount of money at him next year. To Lose Smart and Memphis’ pick is far too much.

I would offer our first and a player (Yabusele?) for Tyreke. Don’t know how many teams would offer a first for a half year rental.

If Boston do anything with Memphis it would be to get Marc Gasol, I feel he’d be the ideal player to give them extra frontcourt size which could give them the edge out East in the Play Offs.

Evans would be great this season but next year with Hayward back and Brown and Tatum then he’d be down the pecking order.

I agree Danny Ainge is one of the best Front Office guys in the NBA but don’t forget his first few years in that role didn’t go well and fans weren’t happy with him. They had losing seasons in 2005-06 and 2006-07, had traded Walker and PP was asking for a trade.

If Ainge hadn’t been a former Celtics player from the Bird era, he may well have been out by then and also the late great Red Auerbach was said to have backed him over this period. The trading for KG and Ray Allen was almost Ainge’s last role of the dice and it came up trumps with the title next year.

The rebuild in 2013 could also have gone wrong with Doc moving on and KG and PP being traded. The fans could well have got annoyed that PP had been moved after being a Celtics player all his career and the team had let it’s last title winning coach go too.

But Ainge got the best young college Coach in Brad Stevens and Billy King gave them the best trade terms ever, so the rebuild has happened again much quicker than some thought.

Evans is on his final year he would just be a rental. Gasol would be perfect but he’s too much cash. They can’t have AL Marc Kyrie and Gordon.

Boston still have that Hayward injury exception for $8 million to use. Ainge seems fairly happy with what they have got at the moment but if a good veteran or two gets waived or becomes available, he might look to add bench depth to the play off roster.

I like Evans. I wouldn’t giving up our low first round pick and Yabusrle for him. But imo Lou Williams would be better, because we already have playmakers off the bench (Rozier, Smart). We need a scorer off the bench and I think Willimas would be perfect.

I like Lou Williams a lot but Evans is so much more versatile he can play the one the two or three Lou Williams is going to strictly be shooting from the shooting guard spot making Marcus Smart an undersized three man, while I like them both, Tyreke Evans all around game is a much better fit especially on the defensive end

The next Tatum type move would be next draft by trading down in the draft and taking Jaren Jackson Jr who would be perfect fit and a steal!
