    This will be a good series if the Knicks can capatolize on the transition game. I believe the Knicks can steal the first game ONLY if Billups plays big.

    i think they can win without him playing big. I think they can ONLY win if they decide to step it up on defense and when i say they i mean Melo and Amare. This is a very different team when those two play defense because if they play it everyone else will follow there lead.

    From what ive seen so far both are making a good effort on the defensive side of the ball

    Still waiting for Billy Bad A** to get it going…….I love the evolution of his game, he really has impressed me from strictly being a dunker to an all around player.

    again. it seems like every time we play them, we are in control and its a close game then in the end the come out and beat us. this time it was rayray for three. it was so irritating seeing melo pop that last three. he had so many better options than that. drive to the hoop either pull up for the midrange J or get a layup or fouled. but we need to put this game behind us and win game two.

    New York just needs to steal one on the road and they can do it.  Also Melo is probably not going to have a bad game like that again.  He was terrible except for one early stretch.  Amare needed to get the ball at the end.

    Yeah i doubt the celtics are gonna play that bad again either as far as lapse in team defense

    this was our game to steal. we had to captitilize on the poor play by the C’s but we didnt. but what were the refs thinkin. offensive foul on melo was horrible. u dont call that with 30 secs left in a playoff game. knicks should be up one right now but we let this game go. mike D. why was anthony carter in the game? rather have billy walker/fields/shawne williams in there over him.

    Melo gave it to the celts, just finished 1/11 FG, TO’s, no FTA, no boards…

    Stat finished his game 6/6 FG.

    Not necessarly a bad thing billups’s injured, remember when they crushed the hornets and jazz at home, won easily at hawks, won at grizzlies, then he returns, bam 1W-8L..

    A 40% FG 30% 3pts shooter, 5 assists PG will always hurt a d’antoni team, a team whose already diminished by d’antoni himself(that fake can’t win a ball game in the 80’s-90’s).

    Douglas is not a true PG, but he’ll push the tempo, he’ll provide his all around game, as a starter on 29 minutes a game, he’s a 14-6-3 PG with high shooting percentages(52% FG, 47% 3pts), in fact he’s doing some Ty Lawson stuff, teams  plays better ball without billups, but melo took all the blame.

    Wit 2 of the 5 best fowards in the game, 2 elites scorers, u need a damn playmaker not a 13 years older brandon jennings…

    Felton is not a beast but as a knick he was just a top5all nba in assists and steals, he had more double doublesthan CP3 at that time, 2nd guard behind nash, probably top 10 all nba without the trade.

    You can give any stat you want, but they have no chance in hell without Billups. They will be done in 5 games without Chauncey.

    Thats what happens when you go gets players for their names, not for their abillities. They acquired their guys. Got a fancy highly exciting Coach in Dantoni, who plays a fast style of basketball, they got Amare, Melo, Billups and now they cant run. Billups, and Anthony, are not effective in this system. The personnel and the coach do not match.

    Maybe in the future they o try to grab Calipari? Chris Paul recruiting aid?
