The Cavs are probably looking at all sorts of combinations with the 1 & 4 picks.  What about going with Williams at 1 and then Kanter at 4 if he falls.

Williams would be a great athlete at the 3 and could play the stretch four.  Good size with 3 point range.  Then they go with the best interior big man in Kanter.  He can play the 5 with Williams at the 3 and Hickson at the 4.  Then your front line is set for the next decade (also have Varejao, Ryan Hollins, and Luke Harangody off the bench).

If they can get the two best big men in the draft then that would be a great draft.  Then in the second round the Cavs can take one of those many decent point guards (or Darius Morris if he still there), then take a solid 2 guard who can hit the 3 and defend some (either David Lighty or DeAndre Liggins).  There are a lot of 2 guards out there who are starting primarily for defensive reasons and the occassional jumper (Bogans, Deshawn Stevenson, Sefolosha, even Tony Allen).  Lighty is kind of a local guy.  Liggins can handle the ball some to go along with his outside shooting and defense.  … if the Cavs think outside the box maybe they take Ben Hansbrough who is tough and can shoot from the outside.  They can use him as instant offense off the bench or as a solid starter on a contender (this generation’s John Paxon).  Then next year they can go after a legit point guard or a 2 guard with upside (Austin Rivers, Jeremy Lamb).  … a player like Jacob Pullen should be there.  He is a decent leader who can play some.  Pullen could be a good rotation guy (10 to 15 minutes a game as a backup point guard, next year behind Baron Davis, then after that behind another lottery pick).

I know nobody likes to hear this, but the Jazz said there taking the best player available, so whoever falls out of Irving, Williams, and Kanter is who there taking. Unless the Wolves take someone else I don’t see it happening.

I honestly think Kanter will go No. 2 to the Wolves and the Jazz will take Knight or Kemba, leaving the Cavs with Irving-Williams. I hope they sign JR Smith too.

They’d probably start Baron Davis and Jamison but still play Irving and Williams 30+ a night. It would be Davis-Smith-Jamison-Hickson-Varejao, and eventually Irving-Smith-Williams-Hickson-Erden.

This draft may not be the best in far of top tier talent but it is pretty interesting with so much up in the air.

I’m a fan of Lebron, just last year they were one of my fav teams in the league. First thing the need to do is Draft Kyrie Irving. Second the guys who comes right after him are Derrick, Enes and then Jonas. Draft who is avaliable with the fourth pick. then hope that jeremy tyler falls in the second round or try to get a late first round from a team like dallas or chicago.

    I wish Cleveland could get:

Kyrie Irving, Derrick Williams and Jeremy Tyler with their first three selcetion. fingers cross
