laarethekingsParticipantWhat if the Cavs trade JJ Hickson to the Blazers for Nicolas Batum…
With the 1st pick draft D Williams
With the 4th pick draft Jan Vesely
Starting five… Sessions, Batum, Vesely, Williams and Varejao.
In Batum, Vesely Williams they’ll all be 20 to 23 years old… Very long, all excellent athletes and combo players Batum going from SG/SF and Vesely, Williams going from SF/PF. Lots of line ups can be used.

bobbybParticipantwhy would the blazer get rid of a unique player like batum, i think he had too much potential

laarethekingsParticipantWhy would the Blazers do this trade… Well first they have Wallace at the SF spot now for 3 more years at 10 million a season…. Second Camby is in the last year of his contract which is only going to leave the Blazers with one big…. Aldridge.
A team for the Blazers of… Miller, Franandez, Wallace, JJ Hickson and Aldridge with Camby and Roy as your 6th and 7th coming off the bench looks nice.

the I in winParticipantHickson doesn’t fill a need in Portland. If the Cavs don’t like the available talent at 4 they could probably trade it for Batum so they could take either Knight or Walker.

GrandmamaParticipantWhat about dealing their 4th overall pick and change for 2nd overall? Not sure what else they could offer but I’m sure they could get it done. They could take both Irving and Williams, two great building blocks for the future.

sixers12ParticipantHickson is a decent young PF, DWill is gonna be a SF with spot minutes as a PF. I think that keeping Hickson and drafting DWill & Knight (at 4) or Irving (if they can acquire the number 2 pick) would be a nice core going forward. Add that to the fact that they still have the trade exception to use to possibly acquire a vet with some talent such as Iggy, Jefferson, etc. They are also all but guaranteed to have a top pick in the draft next year to continue the rebuilding process. It may take a few years for the Cavs to be relevant again but with proper drafting and development they could be a good young team before too long.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWe’d want way more the chance to be cheap, our brass loves Iguadola and if the fans would lay off he’d love us back…he’s a top 5 Sf and an elite athlete and defender, stop with the talks of him being traded to Cavs or Wolves for some crappy trade exemption, we want a C and if we can’t draft one will peddle off Nocioni, Meeks, Hawes and Brackins for one…the future of our franchise hinges on Holiday/Turner/Iggy and Thad…M16 and Lou Will are pivotal as well, Speights must begin to step it up big time, he’s a scoring bug right now and needs to a overall player on both ends if the floor…As for Cleveland, they should pick the potential face of their franchise and his wingman…I say go Williams and see what they can get for the 4th pick…
