mowestenParticipantBold predictions:
1. Luke Doncic is a lot better than a lot of the posters here think he is …
2. Spurs have a much better season than most expect. I think they win 55 games.
3. Houston Rockets take a step backward. I think the loss of Arica, a guy willing to do the little things at a high level, who can be a highly effective player without dominating the ball, will be missed. I think adding guys like Anthony and Chriss hurts more than it helps.
4. The Bulls will trade Bobby Portis as they have a log jam of players at the 4-5. This log jam intensifies after they see Parker attempt to defend 3s.
5. Blake Griffin plays 80 games. I don’t know why, just sounds like a bold prediction.

theEDGEParticipant1. Doncic will play in the All-Star game during his rookie season.
2. Spurs will finish top 4 at least in the West, but I would put them in at 3.
3.Rockets will not get homecourt advantage in the play-offs and might even struggle to get in the play-offs.
4.Portis will get in a fight with Lavine and is released by the Bulls.
5. Stanley Johnson will be the star of the Pistons this season and winning MIP.

cheetosjalapeno17ParticipantBrandon Ingram takes a superstar leap next year and becomes the clear cut number 2 and the Robin to Lebron’s Batman. I’m thinking stats of 22 6.5 and 3.5 with 2.5 stocks (steals plus blocks). This isn’t really so bold so here’s where it gets bold, I predict the Pels either barely make the playoffs or don’t make it at all, and come nsext offseason we’re gonna hear about the Lakers trading for Anthony Davis with Brandon Ingram as the center piece of the trade.
I know this is typical Lakers fantasy booking, but its at least plausible.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipant1. DeMarcus Cousins causes more problems for golden state than he helps them. He won’t get to play the type of role or get the touches he’s accustomed to, and he won’t be on the floor a lot in crunch time. I think he will clash with Kerr and possibly players on the team. The warriors will still win the title, but it will be more in spite of Cousins than because of him.
2. The sixers get complacent and take a step back this season. Teams will defend them differently and it will take some time to adjust. Simmons and fultz will still struggle shooting and it will be difficult to play them together. I think they finish 4th in the West behind Boston, Toronto and Milwaukee.
3. The bucks win 50 games and Giannis wins his first MVP.
4. The lakers win 50 games and get a top 4 seed in the West (maybe a little wishful thinking).
5. The blazers miss the playoffs and possibly look to move McCollum during the season.
6. The wolves make a coaching change during the season (possibly very early).

HitsterParticipantThe Spurs have another very strong season – they won 47 games with only minimal contribution from Kawhi but with DeRozan having something to prove and Popps being motivated they win well over 50 games.
The Suns finally have a bounce and Booker makes his first All Star game.
Vince Carter dunks over someone who wasn’t even born when he made his NBA debut.
If Jimmy Butler goes to Heat they make ECF finals but lose to Boston having shocked Philly in Semis.

OhCanada-ParticipantDallas Mavericks make the playoffs.
San Antonio gets a home seed (not bold to me but everyone is counting them out).
Toronto Raptors wins the most games in NBA regular season.
