T-Wolvesfan13ParticipantIn honor of there first of many games aganst each other (God willing!) I thought it would be fun to see where everyone stands. 1) Who do you think will have a better game tonight? 2)Who do you think will have a better season? And 3) Who will have the better career? Please give a reason why on each. I don’t think i will give my opinion to start with mostly because i am way in favor of B-easy.

HaleParticipantGame-Griffin, just have a feeling.
Season-Beasley, he has more of a green light and doesn’t have Kaman, Gordon and B-Diddy to share shots with. Beasley is the number 1, he’ll get more shots.
Career-Coming out of college I would’ve said Beasley no doubt, but Griffin has impressed me a lot and Beasley isn’t as amazing as many thought he would be coming out. So I go Griffin.

JoeWolf1When I watch Beasley he is like a Glenn Robinson clone to me and when all is said and done I think he’ll have a career very similar to Robinson.
I think Griffin will have a very good career two. Honestly, I think they will have very similar careers, I don’t think either one is a hall of famer, but I think they’ll both play in mutiple all-star games. I think it will just come down to which one wins more and what kind of role they take in that when they are in their primes

BasketBalAllanParticipant1. Beasley; the few times I have watched the Wolves this season I have noticed they like to crowd the paint, which will make it tougher for someone who depends on dunks, Griffin, to score.2. Beasley; but It will be close. I think Griffin is not as conditioned to the long season and Beasley will have more freedom on the court to do whatever he wants.3. Griffin; I think he will develop into something Beasley seems incapable of being, a solid all-around player. Beasley has to much trouble passing, rebounding, and giving his all on D to really excel. Beasley reminds me of the Kevin Martin of PF’s.0 - Posted on: Wed, 11/17/2010 - 9:59am #436365

T-Wolvesfan13ParticipantJust to let you know Beasley is not playing at PF. I have watched almost every game and he has been playing SF. But i agree Griffin is a much better rebounder but of course he does not have a Kevin Love to hog all the boards haha

BasketBalAllanParticipantI shall then change my quote to "Beasley is the Kevin Martin of Forwards".

sheltwon3ParticipantI would take Blake because I like that banger mentality. Beasley will score a ton of points but Blake is a banger than can pass, drible and once he gets most constent on his jumper, he can be hard to guard. Also Blake can fit more teams than Beasley. I can tell you this if Miami had Blake. They would have signed Lebron and let Bosh go to NJ.

stanford hoopsBeasley is actually doing pretty well in rebounding. I think 5 rebounds a game from the small forward position. I say beasley will have better season. Both teams won’t be very good but as of now the clippers are the worst team in the NBA ( yea big suprise. Where are the guys who said they are playoff bound?). Griffin will have his hands full on the boards with love. The match up should be a nice one and a rematch( love killed him in aau game with something around 42points 17 reb)

B-ball fanParticipantI would take Griffin in all three categories. Beasley will score more, but Griffin is better at almost everything else. Beasley will also probably see his shooting numbers decline, as he is blowing away everything he, or pretty much anyone else, has done before by shooting over 50% on both 3 pointers and long 2s. If Griffin has a shooting slump, he still will rebound, play hard, and attack the basket to affect the game.

mikeyvthedonParticipantIf Blake Griffin were on the Timberwolves and Beasley were on some other team, would your opinion be different? I choose Griffin though, I think he is a total tank and he is a much better athlete than Beasley at a different position. Beasley did not have the strength to play PF, and his SF skills are there on one end of the court, but his defense is highly suspect. Blake Griffin seems to be the one I would go with, did not look that way in HS, but I think Blake will end up the better player. Beasley was always a good scorer, and chances are Blake might never be the scorer Beasley is, but Beasley will not do other things even close to Blake. Blake is a much better rebounder, and yes, I remember Beasley was a beast on the boards in college and is not bad at boarding, but in the NBA it is very evident they both play different roles. Blake Griffin’s role to his team will be more important than Michael Beasley’s in my opinion.
