BIyombo has been playing really well recently since he has been getting minutes. He’s averaging 1.8 blocks in 12 mpg. Also, he’s rebounding at a good rate too and he’s only 22 years old. It’s funny how little time most teams give their prospects to prove themselves because he was racking up Dnps early in the year (idk if he was injured or not) but I’m happy to see that he’s finding a role. Maybe a team will throw him a decent size offer sheet in the summer and force the Hornets hand.  Thoughts?

MIght be top five worse offensive big men in the league at this moment. He cant catch anything at all and lost on the offensive end. Having said all that hes a great floor runner and defensive anchor as a charlotte fan at this point i like him on the floor more than marvin , hes just to much of a liablity on D to pair up with AL

Given the minutes, he’ll be a good source of rebounds and blocks. points are just a bonus with high fg %. Good to see him play more minutes. Besides Al and Zeller, there’s no other big who can provide the defense inside for them.

He’s always had great defensive potential but zero offence basically. His minutes dropped when Al Jefferson was signed and Cody Zeller drafted, he’s also having to compete with Marvin Williams for minutes and Noah Vonleh will also come into the mix in due course.

I would have hoped that working with Patrick Ewing over the last year might have helped Biyombo’s offensive game but it doesn’t seem to have done.

Biyombo was drafted very young and is still probably a fairly raw player but I’m sure he’ll get offers next summer given his defensive ability and age, team’s like to have a good defensive specialist on the roster for certain match ups. I just wonder if a change of scenery might do him good.

For me this is the guy that the Cavs should be looking at to fill that rim protector role, they desperately need.

yes, i think he’s a little better than thabeet..who use to get pushed around inside by guards..nobody pushes this kid around….

bismack is stronger,a better rebounder, defender and 1 of the best players in the nba at protecting the paint…his problem as mentioned by some above is that he’s such a liability on offense…last season they shot below the league average when he was on the floor..but that total went up when he was on the bench…

scouts fell in love with him after his triple double at the nike summitt…

but i didnt see the hype surrounding him at the time of the draft..looking at footage of him playing overseas ,he didnt seem to have a good feel for the game, moved around robotic on the floor and had a low basketball iq…
