jjonzParticipantAfter reading his story about growing up in Compton and the work he put in when he was 10 yrs old, i hope this guy makes it to Top 5 @ SG. On the exterior you don’t see the fire, just hope he can play with a burning desire to destroy every SG he faces on a nightly basis. He grew up with B.Jennings. Thats interesting to have 2 lottery picks in the same household. He’s young if he keeps improving, becomes the 1st option on offense, he could develop into a SuperStar @ stay in Toronto.
I hope
year 1. decent playing time 8.6 ppg not an option on Offense
year 2 31 min game 15.ppg 47% fg. 2nd option
year 3 Draft K.Irving (Another playmaker) 36-38 min gam 20-24 ppg AllStar

dacula18ParticipantNot saying he will be as good, but he seems to be progressing in the same way Kobe did. He is even putting up similar numbers as Kobe did at this point in his career.

Toronto16ParticipantWe knew he had a massive ceiling coming into the NBA, he just needs to put it all together. I remember when I first joined this forum and it was right before the 2009 draft I said DeRozan was the 2nd best player from the draft class and received so much flak for it. The Raptors just need to start winning now, and I hope DeRozan doesn’t become a star and then leave Toronto.

bennydabullParticipantHe’s still very young… and yes I heard somewhere Kobe is his favorite player and he tries to model his game after him. He’s even been wearing Kobe’s shoes since he entered the league haha

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAm I the only one that realized he said DeMar DeRozan would average 20-24ppg next year and be an all-star? Pretty big assumption there.

lalailaParticipanthe is still only 21..he is 16ppg scorer as a sophmore..i’m not changing my opinion that his prime is like 23/6/3 on (maybe not championship caliber but..) avarage playoff team
