timinator1Participant…"You wanna disrespect me? Fine. I’ll stay here in OKC and take this group of guys to the playoffs"
He’s got some talent around him. If it’s enough in the West, time will tell.
Defensive point guard in SGA
Very capable wing shooters in Gallo and Muscala
Dirty work from Adams.
Pogo stick with something to prove in Nerlens (though it might be past time he proved something)I’m not a CP3 fan, but I would respect the hell out of him if he dug his heels in and made OKC dangerous this season.

OhCanada-ParticipantChris Paul and Danilo Galinari are like the human versions of Russell Westbrook and Paul George. Its not that much of a drop off. On top of that they got SGA one of the best young PG’s in the league and 10 1st round picks. Not sure if they make the playoffs but if everyone shows up and is focused on winning they have a chance and will be competitive. Jerami Grant is a big loss though.
OKC did what the Rockets werent willing to do. Blow it up and go back to building a real basketball team rather than heavily marketing a brand. Wouldnt it be funny if OKC had a better record than Houston next year. Or even better than the Clippers.

dmo21ParticipantWas thinking off this today too. I feel like they will be competing with San Antonio and Sacramento for that last playoff spot in the West as rosters are now. I feel like San Antonio wins that battle though and the Thunder and Kings will be on the outside looking in.

CoachWyersParticipantTheir projected Starting 5 is not that bad, but they are not too deep. I see their depth chart looking like this right now.
C Adams/Noel
PF Gallanari/Muscala/Patterson/Grantham
SF Roberson/Nader/Burton/Bazley
SG SGA/Ferguson/Diallo
PG CP3/Shroder/Dort0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/17/2019 - 9:46am #1136919
MopgrassParticipantHe’ll either be traded to the Heat or get a buyout. I couldn’t believe OKC took him or that the Heat might take that contract. Great player, too much money. I hope OKC can get something for him.
I’d also really like Bazely to get a lot of run. A lot. He’s a really interesting prospect to me. Time to reset the team.

CoachWyersParticipantNo way there is a buyout he has too much money guarenteed. If anything they will have to do the stretch provision on him. I think OKC is fine with moving on with him though because they still want to compete while acquiring assets they are not in a full rebuild.

The GoatParticipantMiami are trying to convince Washington to part with Beal, saying theyll they Wall back if they have to. OKC is trying to add CP3 in there somewhere but I think they have hoping to get back Dragic and filler rather than Wall themselves.

mowestenParticipantOf the eight West teams that made the playoffs last year, one is coming out and the Lakers are going in. So you have to ask yourself which of those eight teams is most likely not to make it.
I mean, I don’t see any of the other eight teams, besides the Warriors, having taken a step back this offseason. The logical choice is OKC. With Paul or without him.
