HitsterParticipantAnthony is still nearly 18 months away from when he can first be drafted and no doubt in that time he will fill out. I’ve seen him listed between 187lbs on this site and 220lbs on sites like The.Rivals.com. Has anyone any idea what his proper weight as becauase at 187lbs you have another John Henson,Jonathan Bender type player but if he’s already 220lbs then he must have filled out since his growth spurt and would be fairly near to a decent weight to be able to play some frontcourt if required.
As a prospect at the moment he is probably a bit behind Rivers, Miller and Gilchrist but his upside may be more interesting as if he had a lot of years playing as a guard and can take parts of this skillset to SF or potentially PF then he could have endless possibilities.

LAKE SHOWI doubt think its a slam dunk that he will fill out. how much did Anthony Randolph,Kevin Durant or any highschool skinny guy fill out after a year in college. I think he is good and has potential but i question how good he is because his team gets destroyed by other teams. Usually great players lead there teams to more victories if they are really that good even if the teammates arent that good

LAKE SHOWHe doesn’t look 187. i was 187 at 6’4 and i looked smaller then he is. I’m guessing he’s around 200-210

meisi4Participanti really like davis but lets just see what he does…
i mean if eddy curry would find a brain somewhere he would be really scary so lets just wait and see if davis has the head to realize all his potential cause sometimes thats what is more important that being supertalented…
i dont wanna bash davis here but i just like to see the way it plays out rather than just imagine what he could be…

DanEboyParticipantDavis has more long term ‘potential’ than Rivers or Gilchrist. I read an article where scouts say he is more advanced than Bosh was at his age. The kid is a tremendous shot blocker and rebounder and snuck up on a lot of people because of a growth spurt. He has the handles of a guard but is still learning the big man game.
We will just have to wait and see how that ‘potential’ plays out.

iguapops420ParticipantHe’s NEVER going to have the frame to a 4. Not even in spurts. He’s definitely closer to 187. NO muscle definition at all. Doesn’t seem overly athletic either. Reminds me of your classic tweener ATM. I can see the potential is there, unfotunately, I don’t see him being developed properly. He’s not the athlete of Randolph,Scorer of Durant, or the build of Blatche(another VERY skinny highschooler). Seems to be an athlete similaar to Austin Daye with the skills of Randolph. If his ballhandling is legitimately as good as I’ve heard, he could be a REALLY nice player, unfotunately all I’ve seen of him is big-man game. I’ve not really been able to see enough of him creating from the perimeter.
I am very intrigued by his ability to have not lost any of his guard skills.I’m partial to these type’s as you know coming in that they already have triple-threat skills. Pippen was a guy who was a short pg until a late growth spurt. Terrence Jones I believe had a similar situation, though Pip remained a pg who developed his forward abilities.
Davis is just TOO far away to really asses his potential IMO.

iguapops420ParticipantOK guys, just got my internet working properly and got to see the vid. Very much liking what I saw. Perimeter shooting, triple threat skills, and off ball help D. That handle looks like it is every bit of what it was advertised as. Seems like he needs a little work on his footwork, both perimeter and post, but the potential is there. His athleticism is more Durant than Daye I think. VERY SMOOTH.
Finally seeing him on the perimeter was a real joy for the half a minute I saw. Could be better than Jones for the Cats’ next year. Didn’t he just go down with a wrist injury? Anyone have word on this?
