We all know about to LeBron and his free agency options and how he can join the Cavs. Then if LeBron joins the Cavs they’ll probably trade for Kevin Love which would involve trading Wiggins.

Which leads to the question where would you rather be if you were Andrew Wiggins?

Both teams have great young PGs who at one point were leading a 2 player race for ROY, but play almost opposite of each other. Kyrie is a scoring PG and one of the best in the game who’ll always be a number one option and seems to be the corner stone of the Cavs right now. Wiggins would have to take a back seat to to Kyrie unless they could become a Westbrook/Durant type duo. T-Wolves have Rubio who can pass as good as anyone, but isn’t as good of a player as Kyrie. He compliments Wiggins game much more and would allow to take over that team giving him a better chance if full filling those super star expectations that were placed in him back in highschool.

Although the Cavs and T-Wolves haven’t had such a good track record with previous superstars (Kevin Garnett, Kevin Love, and LeBron) where would Wiggins succeed more?

I think a trade would involve waiters and Thompson, rather then Wiggins.

    Kyrie-Wiggins-Lebron-Love-Andy V is better then Kyrie-Waiters-Lebron-Love-Andy V (or TT).

Whether Minny goes for Waiters and Thompson is a different story.

And on the other hand there is no reason to trade for Love anyway. A line up of Kyrie-Waiters-Wiggins-Lebron-Andy V is still really really good.

Cavs have A LOT of options and assets so they could do quite a few things

Why would Cav do it when they can get Love for free next summer.

I do not think it is going to happen with Love, but if it did this summer is when it needs to get done before Irvings maxx kicks in next year.

irving, waiters, wiggins, james and ??? they have no center.

but playing small is enough with that line up and with bennett backing up the 3/4

and others like harris, karesev, zeller, thompson and powell both the front and back court is deep.

this team may not have sustainability under a normal nba rotation, but with the new eauro style being brought in, all players will be utilized and noone will have to be on the floor more than 20 min a game.

the cavs are as deep as okc right now, honestly can’t imagine why they would even bother going after love at this point with or without lebron.

Lebron, Wiggins and Irving is their core 3 and no way do they include Wiggins for Love. Wiggins rookie contract fits Lebron James max contract perfectly and allows this big 3 to add other complementary pieces. PG – Irving(7.46 m) SG- Wiggins SF(4.59 mil)- JAMES (22 million)PF- Thompson(5.5 million) C- Varejao(9.8 m team option)That leaves Cleveland with the option of trading Waiters(4.06 million)Bennett(5.5 million) and possibly Jack (6.3 million)for other assets. If Bennett has no value right now, they could trade Thompson instead to get a better returning asset and hope a healthy Bennett plays up to his rookie expectations.

They have Zeller at 1.5 million and Delladova and S Zaravev on cheaper contracts and James might attract some veteran minimum guys like (Ray Allen, Chris Anderson, Mike Miller, Vince Carter, Carlos Boozer) so there is the option of not keeping varajao and trying to add a big name with the 24 million in cap space use up by (Waiters, Varajao, Thompson, Jack) they have so many more options because they have good players at team friendly contracts.

Gawd Dammit, it seems like every team is coming up with the most creative and/or despicable ways to plunder the Timberwolves for Kevin Love. Seriously, Danny Ainge is probably watching Star Wars on repeat trying to learn Jedi mind tricks. (Somewhere in Boston, Ainge is waving his hand in a flourish and saying, “Jared Sullinger will suffice.”)

But out of all the rumors, I find the proposal that would send Love to Cleveland for players not named Wiggins to be absolutely the most appalling. If it goes down I might do something drastic, like leave a horse’s head in Glen Taylor’s master bed, or at the very least, binge eat on taco bell.

To Cleveland fans who think this proposal is legit: Your team has been garbage for four years. Now that you have a chance to get LeBron, Love, Irving, and all the veteran role players you could want, you wanna get greedy and keep Wiggins, too? This is a guy you lucked up into, remember? But asset is an asset is an asset, I guess.

I’d much rather see the Wolves keep Love for the year and lose him to free agency, then see him traded for only Thompson and Waiters. It’s a matter of pride. F*ck I’m steamed right now.

But if Cleveland somehow manages to land James and then pull off this trade without giving up Wiggins, then LeBron would be so Friggin’ set for success. I can envision no better scenario for LeBron to age gracefully from best player on earth to whatever he will become as his career starts to wind down in his mid to late 30’s. Five years from today, Lebron will be 34, and who knows what kind of player he’ll be at that time. But Kevin Love will only be 30; Irving will be 27; and boy wonder Andrew Wiggins will be 24. Holy John Stamos Batman! That team on its own is crazy to think about. Then add in the smartest, most gifted player since Jordan, with 15 years of NBA savvy and a knack for making his teammates better. If Cleveland doesn’t screw it up, they could be title competitors for the next 12 years.

(Oh, wait, I just remembered something: I’m talking about Cleveland. Don’t get me wrong, I feel for Cleveland and their lack of success. Minnesota hasn’t won a title since the Twins in 1991. I could barely tie my own shoes at the time, let alone concentrate on a baseball game for four hours. So essentially, my teams have never won anything my entire life. As far as I’m concerned, Cleveland and Minnesota are at the same level of fan suffering. But seriously LeBron, Love, and Irving should be enough to bring your drought to an end. So from one suffering fan to another: We’ll give you Love, but please just throw us a bone. C’mon, now. Note: I just realized that I’ve been ranting about a hypothetical for the last fifteen minutes. )

Personally, I dont want to see them give up Wiggins to get Love. If you cant get him before the season, then try again at the deadline. IF not, then try to get him in Free agency. I know Kyrie’s contract kicks in, but guys like Varejao will be coming off the books who is scheduled to make almost 10 mil this year. I would like Love on this Cavs team dont get me wrong, but i just dont want them to give up Wiggins. Does Waiters, Thompson, and 3 1st round picks next year get Minny to pull the trigger?

IMO the cavs should forget about Love. If they get James they’ll have enough stars or potential stars. Once Anthony Bennett gets in shape and gets his confidence back he will bring everything that would have been needed from KLove without the attitude, pricetag and aura that comes with someone whos already a superstar.

steer clear of Love and focus on lebron if I’m the cavs. Thompson and Waiters would be the expendable ones.

It would be nice if they could get a rim protector at center for Waiters and sign a SF in free agency. Of course LeBron or Love would be nice, but they should be winning for a long time together with the young group they’ve got.
