I have a question, I don’t get to see much of Philly, but I really don’t understand why there is alwasy trade rumors involvind Iguodala? His contract is a big one, but other than that whats wrong with him? Without him I don’t see how they would be as good, and the value they would get would be hard to match or improve. He has an all around game that not many can match, and he seems to be a class act. Just want to hear your thoughts and opinions.

Not a great scorer or shooter but hits timely threes. Strong overall game and his D is almost worth the contract. Shuts guys down. Put him on Manu tomorrow night and watch what happens. Thing is put him on Scola and watch what happens. Kid is a good player to have on any team. Everyone cant do what he does all around. My favorite kind of players are triple double threats often.

as a huge sixers fan, for some reason most local fans do not seem to be able to connect with him.. His body language at times can be poor as well. Its ashame that it became his tm (on the heels of the original AI leaving)… Those are big shoes to fill….

Think about it.. I was born in 1980…. we went from guys like dr j, moses, etc to barkley / hersey hawkins…. then we sucked for yrs with clarence weatherspoon, shawn bradley and dana barros (who im a fan of)… Then we get our prize in allen iverson..

Not that iggy does anything wrong, hes just not a superstar scorer.. If jrue were to 100 % fill that void or Evan Turner then i think Sixers fans would let up… While im a fan of iggy I do not know what the best decision would be, but i think some of the angst from most has a lot to do with his predecessors. If we obtained that top tier scorer , i think opinions would change quickly from the local brass..

He’s not a super star first option. More of a (poor man’s?) Pippen. Definitely a core guy though.
As far as Sixers players go, Dr. J was a first option as was Moses Malone, Barkley, and Iverson. Iggy is
not that guy but I think he is better than most other guys that philly has had since then, including Hersey Hawkins
    and Jerry Stackhouse.

I even think that Iggy can be the best player on a contender but he can’t be the best scorer, rebounder, inside guy, and passer.
If the Sixers had more legit big men scorers and a compelement for Iggy at the 2 I think they would be a very dangerous team.
He could lead a team like the 2004 Pistons to a title as the main slasher, defender, and finisher.

If Iggy went to Golden State and started at the 3 I think they would be very, very dangerous. I think he would be a perfect small forward
    for the new look Hornets.

I don’t think that Evan Turner is a great complement for Iggy. If they could get Kevin Martin and a couple of bigs for him I think
that could help both teams. Martin would be the great scorer/shooter for Philly plus they could get some more help up front, maybe Patrick
    Patterson and/or Marcus Morris.

Lin, Lamb, and ET would give the Rockets a great 3 guard rotation with Turner also spending time at small forward along with Parsons and Royce White.

i 2 thought this trade was highly likely. barnes (7th pick) for iggy.

philly gets a shooter to pair with et and gsw get perimeter defender who can handle the rock and create a bit for others

I like Iguodala. He does a little bit of everything, and he’s a great defender. Inconsistent scorer, but he can pass well. However, this trade rumor makes sense for the Sixers if they can pull it off.

And I would like to see how well Bynum does away from Pau and Kobe. He is talented, but can he become a leader on a team, and help take philly farther into the playoffs. And Iggy to Denver sounds noce for him. He will be on a better team, and Coach Karl’s(who is a dang good coach) system would work well for Iggy.
