alingeParticipantFor anyone not watching Maryland vs Duke. Alex Len has flat out dominated Plumlee all night, holding Plumlee to 4 points. Like against Kentucky, Len looks like he raises his game massively in high profile games, against other big time center’s

SiggyParticipantLen outproduced Plumlee, but he wasn’t defending Mason the entire game.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantPlumlee has zero offensive moves, he relies on his athleticism too much. Len has to be one of the fastest 7 footers I’ve ever seen, he also has a legit offensive and defensive game

XYRYXParticipantI really hope the Thunder draft him if they keep their pick. This could be a perfect fit for them and a instant upgrade for them at the 5. they still have the possibility to add Tibor Pleiss next year and this could be an impressive frontline next year while keeping Perk who can’t handle more than 30 mins a night anymore.
Len is a very interesting player imo and could have a Kaman like ceiling, a borderline All Star at one point in his career. Completely different players but level wise I think a very decent starting center.

Meditated StatesParticipantIs soft. He is a pro no doubt, but does not play with the nastiness a man his ability should play with. He is frustrating to watch. All those tools and gifts and just seems to lack that Monster wich he should be.

mtpandolfiParticipantIf that was the case he would have outperformed Plumlee in the first game

Ghost01ParticipantPlumlee was really outclassed. I just wish Len would impose his will more/Maryland would get him the ball more. He has so much quickness, and he is a decent amount of moves, and great size.

akhan786ParticipantMason Plumlee is atrocious defensively. I think he’s too scared of fouling out with Kelly out. Duke isn’t a Top 10 team without him.

3 No Biases 3ParticipantI know he’s 8th on the big board but I still think he may be the most underrated player in this draft..
He has range out to the 3pt line, he’s a good shot blocker and a better athlete than most people realize… just a really good all around player…
Not saying he will, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he ends up the best player out of this draft down the road..

Ghost01ParticipantDuke is easily still a top 10 team. Have you seen some of the teams that have been rated top 10 this year? Much more potential next year with Cook/Suilamon/Parker/Hood. Thats a great core 4.
0- Posted on: Sun, 02/17/2013 - 3:09am #748383
TallmanNYCParticipantMore potential than a team that is Number One in the nation? That is what Duke is when Kelly is playing. So wow you are saying that next year they have some serious potential.

Ghost01ParticipantI think this year they are title contenders, I think next year they are title contenders. But *if* Parker is as advertised, they have the potential to be better next year.

Kyrie IrvingAlex Len is not much more skilled than Plumlee in the post.
Len is getting massive hype as this super athletic big who’s 255lbs, rebounds, great post skills, and defense. When in reality he is average at everything.
.
I’m not buying that he’s 255 lbs until is official from the combine.0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/17/2013 - 9:50am #748445
Lebron’s HairlineParticipantObviously you haven’t watched him play alot, how is Len getting a mad amount of hype??? How many Alex Len to Victor Oladipo threads do you see on here every week?
0- Posted on: Sun, 02/17/2013 - 9:59am #748446
Kyrie IrvingCould that mean that Oladipo is getting hyped as well?
.I would bet i’ve seen Len play more than you. He is not a better prospect than Meyers Leonard (if anything the same level). Leonard went 11 last year, was considered a bust and projected in the 18/22 range until late in the season.
Alex Len is getting top 3/5 hype.0

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI highly doubt that, ACC basketball is my preference, you do realize how weak this class is right? Nobody in the top 10 is a sure thing, how is Leonard a bust after 1/2 a season? Big men need at least 3 years to fill out
0- Posted on: Sun, 02/17/2013 - 11:14am #748472
Olynyk 4 NPOYLeonard WAS considered a bust by many midway thru the season LAST YEAR, everybody had him as the ‘ potential bust of the draft’ and wasn’t projected in the Lotto by anyone, I was one of the first ones to have him in the lotto last year.
0- Posted on: Sun, 02/17/2013 - 11:36am #748477
alingeParticipantActually in limited minutes Meyers Leonard isn’t producing that badly, he isn’t going to blow you away at the minute, but to call him a bust is short sighted. Leonard was clearly a project with outstanding physical abilities and he has shown that at the minute, but I think he will develop into an average starter in time. He is only being criticised because Davis and Drummond came in at the same time as him and have produced at a great level but they were more pro ready and on weaker teams, but Leonard shouldn’t be criticised for not keeping up with two future superstars.

Olynyk 4 NPOYI’m not explaining myself correctly.
I liked and started putting Meyers Leonard in the lotto before most people here. He was called the potential bust of the draft, and I actually argued against that. He was/is athletic and had/has a good frame.0

HitsterParticipantMyers Leonard is being brought along nice and slowly by Portland. I had forgotten that the Thunder still had Pleiss stashed away so that could be useful for them going forward
Len will surely be a mid lottery pick at worse and could go much higher if one GM likes him especially with someone like Noel now out injured.

JNixonParticipantPlumlee is an an impressive athlete with prototype size, but he’s still not skilled and he still doesnt have a sharp defensive IQ. He really never has either. Len looks like a promising talent on offense too, he’s really light on his feet for his size and has good hands and touch.
