Unless something major happens in NO like the Pelicans landing Beal, or another young star I don’t think they will make the playoffs, so what is the future with AD? I wanna hear some intresting trade ideas from you guys. Mine is Tatum, Horford and 2 1sts for AD and Hill, what do you think?

From Boston’s perspective Tatum is off the table in ANY trade talks, even for a top 3 player like AD.

Kyrie and Tatum are the two untouchables on that team right now.  Tatum is possibly more important than Kyrie simply because he is on his rookie deal and allows cap flexibility while being a star in his own right.

That said, I still think its Boston or LA for AD this offseason (Boston cant deal for AD currently as Im sure many know).  So the question becomes, if your NO do you want Brown, Horford and multiple firsts including a lottery pick this year or do you want some combo of Lakers young guys?

Honestly, its a tough call for NO to make but I doubt another team can offer the packages these two can provide.  It will likely come down to how they feel about Brown (and this years draft class) or Ingram, with both not living up to the hype entering this season.  That said, we’ve seen enough from both to know they can each make multiple all star teams in the right scenario.

Gotta think AD is gone this offseason.

Idk if Tatum would be off the table for someone like AD, and I doubt New Orleans would take that trade if Tatum isnt in it. I think they would rather take less picks and get Tatum then take more and get Brown. The Celtics can pair those other picks together and grab someone else for Kyrie/AD.

Everyone knows Boston and LA are the two teams for him, but what are the chances of Chicago. Its his hometown so that should carry some weight, and fi, and only if, Chicago lands a top 3 pick in this class, they can trade that, either markannen or carter, and some salaries and thats a pretty enticing offer. I understand that this trade is giving the farm away for AD but He’s a bonafide top 3 guy thats from Chicago.

    Thoughts?

It’s a possibility, but would he re-sign long term with them is the real question.

     Tatum off the table…

Celtics offer: Jayen Brown, Hayward (salary reasons) and like four of those first rounders they holding for AD

Lakers offer: Ingram, Hart, Kuz maybe Rondo becuase of salary reasons..and throw in a draft pick or two.

Pelicans could send Anthony Davis, Jahlil Okafor and Darius Miller to Miami for Josh Richardson, Justise Winslow, Bam Adebayo, Kelly Olynyk and Miami’s 2020 1st round pick (top 12 protected).

Pelicans finally add talent to their bench and get some wing help.

Heat finally have a superstar and an extremely formidable frontcourt.

    Pelicans

    Jrue Holiday / Elfrid Payton

    E’Twaun Moore / Ian Clark

    Josh Richardson / Justise Winslow

    Nikola Mirotic / Julius Randle

    Bam Adebayo / Kelly Olynyk

    Heat

    Goran Dragic / Tyler Johnson

    Wayne Ellington /  Dwyane Wade

    Rodney McGruder / Darius Miller

    Anthony Davis / James Johnson

    Hassan Whiteside / Jahlil Okafor

Should have known better, a sure-fire way to get at least -4 points is to generate a trade idea involving a superstar

Yeah I don’t understand why because it’s gonna happen one way or another, the NBA is nuts. But I don’t know if he signs long term in Miami. Only way I make that trade if I’m Miami is if he agrees to stay long term

On 2012 draft day i suggested #1 (AD) and #10 (Rivers) for Aldridge and #6 (Lillard). I thought it was pretty good, got killed for it on here though. I think Portland would be happy considering they lost LMA for nothing. When I see AD trades it reminds me of it, I wonder who would’ve said no now with hindsight..

Anyway, if you want some unheard of suggestions, how about AD to Philly for a package built around Simmons? . Scary – Butler, Davis, Embiid.. Pels would be good too with Holiday and Simmons interchanging on the ball.

Or how about AD to Phoenix for Ayton, Jackson, Anderson and a 1st? Who says no?
    Booker Bridges Warren Ariza Davis
    Holiday Moore Jackson Mirotic Ayton

Interesting… HobbyOG essentially said the same thing as me and got +2, I got -8 lol.  I’d put my house on Tatum not being dealt within the next two seasons.
